My honey has FINALLY gone to bed, and I think I am going to crack some more pads open while I finish up the laundry. I am already covered in Chocolate Chip Ink from earlier today. lol
The Pennsylvania Dutch looking one? I think you might be talking about In the Spotlight. It's a new hostess set that isn't out yet.
It's available (for free) to new demo's as a promotion this month. ;) (along with the two jumbo wheels and the small stamp set on the right, behind the stampin mist)

Come one come all! I am an equal opportunity reqruiter! I am SOO glad I did this. I can't believe all the stuff you get for the price. It's almost smart just to do it once, and then become a hobby demo.

Yes- free only to new demos!! WooHOO!! You are the first to get it!!! The rest of us lowly demos won't get it until later...
You is lucky!!!
Well, how do you know that the stamp sets you pick won't be retiring?? Or ink colors, or paper colors... KWIM?? Then you end up with old cattys and have to get new ones?? Sorry... been weighing the pros and cons I guess. Your input would be totally appreciated!

Those are all very good points. I weighed the same options. I figured that I would be getting more stamps anyway soon. I can order them when the new catty comes out.
Also, I figured I would have at least the free stamps they gave me, that wouldn't be retiring. They are not even out yet.
They only give you 8 catalogs. I can hold enough classes between now and then to get rid of the ones I have. (I won't sell them I give them to anyone who hosts a class, anyone who places over a $100 order, or I will sell them to anyone else for $5. The potential that giving a large catalog to a customer makes, FAR outweighs it's cost. My upline now has a recruit, ONLY because she gave me a large catalog the first time she met me.) I took it home, took it to work, took it to the bathroom....lol NOT KIDDING. I practically took it to bed! (I think I did one night when I fell asleep with it) But it made me want to be a demo! I got lost in it's pages. It's an invaluable tool.
SO, I will get rid of the 8 catalogs easily, and will continue to get rid of catalogs easily when the new ones come out.
I guess I am hoping they don't retire any of the earth elements??? Do they? I thought it was just the in colors that went away? But if they do, it's just card stock. It's cheap. I plan on buying the marker set when the new catty comes out. So if any of my 5 inks get retired, it's no big deal.
I guess, I said to myself, why wait? I can still have fun and make money with all of this stuff before the list comes out.

In general you are safe with the paper and ink, unless it is the incolors, which will change with the new catalog this July. As far as the stamp sets, you won't know until May 1st, but with me I am more of a hobby demo with a small customer base, and I buy what appeals to me for the most part. Every now and then I will try to get out of the box. It took me awhile to decide, but I am loving being a demo!

I feel like you, BUT if you wait till after May 1st the retireing list comes out and the promotion for the new Hostess sets is still going on till May 31st. You will know what sets are going to be current and get the Hostess sets. That helped me make up my mind.
Looks great. I am having a hard time waiting until July, but I have a vacation next month to pay for and figure since I wouldn't be able to sign up until June, I might as well wait for July and get the new catalogs.

Good luck with your decision!!
Oh good, I was wondering about that hostess set promotion. Thanks!

wowo, I am pooped. Did that make any sense?
BY FAR!!! this is a gold mine actually! give an 'addict' a catalog and your set to get orders from this person! i think SU! really sells itself to a seasoned stamper!
i know i go thru mine all the time. it definitely gets weathered over time.
I have been thinking about signing up for a couple years now. I have never seen an intro kit have that much stuff in it. Are they having a special or did you order more than just the starter kit? Thanks- you may just convince me to take the plunge
