Have any of you used the new Peel-Off stickers from Elizabeth Craft Designs? I found these at my LSS last week, and they are awesome!
It gives the look of black embossing without all the mess. I LOVE it! If you're like me, and you like the look of embossing but cannot stand the ickiness and inconsistency of the image, then you need to check these out. Really pretty designs, too.
I gave a quick demo on my blog this morning, and you can see the card in my gallery.
I haven't tried this brand but I have sheets and sheets of them in black, gold and silver from when I lived in England.
Indeed!
It's tickled me to see these appearing more and more in the gallery. I always expect things to come from America first, but I guess that like Flower Soft, these have been around here a lot longer before emerging over there!! They used to be marketed as 'Stained Glass' outline stickers in the stores here, to differentiate them from the silver and gold ones.
Oh my gosh! These are one of my absolute favorites!!! Can't live without them! Devoloped a number of techniques with them over the years. Masking with them, using with acetate, vellum. the gold, silver and white can be colored on with alcohol inks or sharpie markers. The copper ones are great for fall projects. I get mine from Ecstasy Crafts.
Maybe if they catch on I will either use them or RAK them!
I have shed loads of them lol! I can't remember the last time I used them but I know it has not been since I moved to Canada...and that was nearly 5 years ago... bit like the old Vintage QVC kit that was so rubbish I bought two
If they are coming back into fashion I will be a head of the game now I am going to have to dig them out and see what I have.
Wow, I haven't even heard of these until now, but I sure do want some! I just looked at a video on youtube about coloring them with markers, and how easy it looks to do. You don't even have to worry about getting out of the lines.
Off I go to shop. Thanks all you enablers - you!
Okey Dokey - Found these stickers on Joann.com and they have a sale with flat rate shipping of only $1.99. Yea!

I did a youtube video on how to make a beaded butterfly plus an extra stained glass butterfly using the scraps ( Starform brand similar to PeelOff) Can be viewed Wonder Tape Butterfly - Creative Destinations Guidehere
These are also wonderful to put onto double sided tape sheets (or strips) and then apply micro-fine glitter in the 'sticky' areas. If you use the 'cool' or 'warm' or any neutral colored glitter, you can then, if you so desire, color the glitter with your Copic markers (or any alcohol marker I would imagine). If you color, just be sure to dab the color onto the glitter rather than to swipe the marker tip across the glitter which could damage the tip.
These have been around for years in the UK. They've been in and gone completely out of love with the crafting community here, maybe they will be some popular again? If so I have loads of them stashed away, never used!

They have been in Canada for years too. I got mine from Ecstasy Crafts about 10 years ago but that was before Elizabeth Crafts.. when they were called Peel-offs and Starform. With the accompanying dies I think Elizabeth Crafts has taken them to a new level and maybe rejuvenated interest and sales.

oh my goodness...I have so many of the EC ones...there is another deal where you put microfine glitter on a self adhesive sheet then add a peel off and color it with markers and they are just stunning.....
blessings.
You all should check out Els' Pinterest page. Amazing work. I was fortunate to be able to learn from her at two retreats and now I have a large supply of her stickers and dies. What you can do with the microglitter, shimmer sheetz, and stickers are a lot of fun and simply stunning.
Also, Els is a wonder super-fun person so if you get the chance, take her class. She also has retreats at her home outside of Denver.
if you stick say a flower one on acetate, using clear glitter you can glitter the back, the colour comes through but the glitter doesn't rub off.
Again stick them on acetate and colour using peel of pens and hang in the aperture of the card, it looks like stain glass
Nice idea.
Just fyi, if you don't want the shiny look for a certain project, then burnish the microfine glitter onto the sticky tape/surface with your finger and it does not come off at all - nothing worse IMO than glitter coming off of something forever and ever LOL.
Els (Eliz. Craft Design) sells microfiine glitter. When I bought my microfine glitter, the name of the manufacturer was Glitter Ritz. I'm guessing, but I think Els' microfine glitter is the same as the Glitter Ritz microfine.

I remember seeing peel off stickers from Magenta and some other companies in stores here several years ago. So they have been around here for awhile but I think Elizabeth Craft just brought them back into popularity with their fabulous peel off sticker designs.
