Default Ladies I need your help

I am pretty new to making the slimline cards. I just got my order from Rubbernecker with 2 new slimline dies and realized they are longer than my cutting pads for both the big shot and cuttlebug. What do you ladies use to cut out your slim dies? I seem to be having a brain fog.
thank you
Marcia

You have 2 choices.

You can buy a longer platform and plates.

OR you can run it twice thru yours. Start the run, with the die and card hanging off the end. Then slide it down to cover the uncut part with the plates, and run it again to complete the other half. I hope I am making sense. I would suggest you tape down the die to the CS with some washi so it does not shift around. Not hard. You can do it!

I found an example w Jen McGuire. At 2:34

If you decide you will be making a lot of these cards, or other longer items, you may decide to get the longer stuff.

Assuming you have a big shot...this is an example. You may well find it cheaper. I did but that was years ago. Plus you will need extended plates.

That's what I would do too. Run it through as far as the plate goes, then lift the die and cardstock up and place it down lower on the same plate...and run it the rest of the way through. I've done this with extended dies with my Big Shot. I don't want to buy the extended platform because I only have one set of extended alphabet dies.
I just got a slimline die set and this seems to fit onto my regular platform just fine. Your dies must be longer than mine. My slimline dies are a nested rectangle set with the longest rectangle being 8 1/4. My Big Shot platform is 8 1/2. Not much room, but just enough.
