Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems to me the Kaiser self adhesive gems/pearls don't actually adhere well. I mean, their stick, but are way to easy to pull off. I always end of gluing them. Anybody use these and is there something I'm just not doing right?
I don't know if I have your brand but I do use self adhesive pearls and gems, I usually take my scissors and cut a slit in the backing paper so I can break the adhesive line that is sometimes there. I also like to slide them off rather than pulling them off so the adhesive comes along for the ride! I use a pair of tweezers or jewelry pliars to place them.
I fold up glue dots (mini's) to go under all those things that brand or the recollections ones also ( the recollections are even worse for lack of adhesive)
and so I'm actually hunting for the macro glue dots that are supposed to be out...
it will be interesting to see if you get a better response.
I have quite a lot of the Kaiser ones. I don't think I've ever had any problems with the gems, but yes, sometimes the pearls don't stick so well. I've noticed it more with the smaller ones, and I think also it depends on how firmly I've been able to press them on in the first place. If I'm sticking them to a base layer it usually seems to be OK, but when it's a layer that's up on foam and I can't press so hard, then I'd rather use a drop of glue to be sure.
It seems to be a slight problem with just about any brand of pearl. Sometimes mine will fall off, but then it is probably because I get too rough with the card. A little glue works wonders and I don't mind having to use a little extra.
