How about pale sage. That's my favorite Prismacolor pencil. I'm not too good with color...maybe Navy Blue can be the new Black..that way when I mix them it will be okay.
There are a few colors I have been waiting for:
orangish-red (used to be called Chinese red)
Celedon
spruce green (almost like the retired Forest Foliage but a bit lighter)
Butterscotch (more yellow and darker than a tan)

I'd like to see a violet type purple. I'm not crazy about many of the purples. Maybe a lemon yellow a little lighter and brighter than barely banana. I agree with the lime green as well. Good thread, it's fun to see what people come up with:-) I hope SU! is listening!

I love the raspberry and lime idea!
I am an autumn lover and would like to see a good burgundy. Bravo Burgundy is so brown. Speaking of brown, I would love to have a warmer brown. Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa ROCK, and I make many many cards with them. But I would like to have something that is warmer like chestnut.
When are the new colors chosen? Not just for SU, but for all of retail? I saw a program on HGTV once that showed the committee meeting and how new colors are chosen for retail. Can't remember what time of year it was.

I don't know if Pantone is the 'official' color forecaster but they do put out trend watches (and I think they direct color selections for the fashion and home interior industries.) Check out the spring 09 forecast here.

I go with these. I am not a pastel person - or purple

Pantone is the "color forecaster" for everything. Which really means that they decide what colors will be popular...sometimes two or more years in advance.

Another vote for a pale lime green! I'd also love to see a greyish brown. That'd be pretty! I'm also a purple fan, so royal purple sounds great. Fun thread!

Yes, something a little brighter than barely banana! It's too bad they can't keep one in-color each year and let go of one of the less popular main colors. I know it's a marketing move to retire and bring out new colors....but it can be painful! So many of the in colors are more modern and up to date! Oh, yea a blue/green like a seafoam green...awesome!
I love the idea of a celedon color.
Also would like to see a lighter turquoise color.
How about a strawberry red?
and a brownish-red. think the color of cherry wood.

Do you know if there's a 12-step program for stamping? No, seriously, is there??
There are three new colors for fall 200 on the Pantone site that I liked:
Burnt Sienna (my favorite crayola in my box of 64 as a kid!)
Creme Brulee
Rapture Rose (the faded cottage rose I have been waiting a long time for!)
I liked Nomad also but it looks like Sahara Sand

This is what I want, the lemon yellow I mean. Just a little lighter and brighter than banana. And a nice brown. With a yellow base rather than what we have now. Chocolate is too dark, cocoa is too drab. A REALLY nice brown is needed.

Ooooh I love Majulica Blue and Moon Mist! I would also love to see a new purlple and a super dark almost black brown. I am not into pastel colours at all.
