For an early birthday treat today, my mil took me to the LSS and basically told me to "have at it!" and get whatever I wanted! Now, I didn't go overboard, but I did get some fun goodies that I might not have gotten otherwise. Isn't she sweet?!

I just love the smell of Stazon in the morning!
Oh, so silly of me to leave out the details! I got some Creme de Chocolat Glimmer Mist, Making Memories light crystal brads, October Afternoon Under My Bed rub-ons, Brenda Walton Sweet Talk dp; Cosmo Cricket Jack's World dp and journaling cards, and The Chocolate Box paper pack from Core'dinations.
The best part was that my mil and her friend who went with us had never been there before, and neither one of them scrap or stamp. We have a big, beautiful, well-stocked LSS, and it was so much fun watching them discover all of the cool stuff that's there. They were oohing and aahing over everything!

Such a fun birthday treat! Just makes my heart pitter patter to go into a craft/scrapbook store. I know that was fun and that is a super MIL.

I love hearing great MIL stories. I have a great one too. We went on vacation a few months ago with my in-laws and my MIL followed me around the store watching what I was picking up and looking at. She looked in my basket to see what I was buying and then went back and purchased several of the things I was looking at and gave them to me when we got to the car.
I'm one of those lucky ones with a very loving MIL. Her addiction is Hallmark...she is a collector. And I mean COLLECTOR. She has rented 3 storage units to hold them all. I like hallmark stuff, but not that much. She buys me membership to hallmark every year. It's a hallmark crown card and I get these ornaments during Christmas in the mail and she buys me tons of ornaments and Christmas stuff. I just wish it was membership to a craft store. LOL Lucky you...it sounds like you had a great time. Have fun with your new goodies.

Good for you!! I have a great MIL but not sure if she would do this...She does enjoy everything handmade that I send her though, she is 1000 miles away and miss her dearly...my mom too for that matter LOL....MIL is coming for a visit next month maybe we will have to take a ride to LSS...LOL
