Only four more months until Michelle Zindorf gets here! I've never taken any kind of formal class/workshop before, so this is going to be totally new. Fun Fun Fun!!!
For you ladies that have taken her workshops before, what were they like? Did it change the way you stamp? Did you want to brayer EVERYTHING? Is it as hard as it looks?
I'm so excited for you! I love her work! Sorry I can't give you any feedback about attending one of her classes because I haven't...I'm just a wanna be attendee for now, lol! ;) So anxious to hear what everyone else has to say though!

I love her stuff and I really wanted to go but I couldn't spend that much on a class. It was going to be $160 or something like that. Just to learn to use a brayer (I am sure there was more to it, but that was the main reason her classes appealed to me).
I, of course, still don't know how to make those killer brayered skies, but my pocketbook thanks me for changing my mind. lol

my friends and i took her classes this sept. drove 4 hours each. stayed over 2 nights. had a great time.
and are signed up for her 2 advanced classes this june. only 2-3 hours each way. but will still stay over. we all love to jammie stamp. we ask and line up the breakfast room at our hotel. the staff loves it. we bring great snacks. stay up til about 2am. clean up after ourselves.
as for the class & michelle-the best money you will ever spend on classes.
for the cost you get great supplies to keep. great slow lessons. she doesn't move on till all feel comfortable. she also does each step in front of the class.
she bring about 4 huge photo albums-you want to bring your camera. you can drool & take pictures all you want.
i say sign up now
her classes fill up very fast!
i'm on her email/blog subscription thingy (sorry, not really sure what it's called right now, but i'm tired.....maybe it will come to me tomorrow, lol) anyway, here's her link:
Michelle's classes are a bit pricey, but as stated above, well worth the $. You get to great stamps and other supplies . Plus you leave with some AWESOME cards and you can't beat the one-on-one instruction you get with Michelle. I've watched videos on brayering, but they are no were near as informative as what you get in class. Check out Michelle's website and sign up for classes as soon as they are posted. Can't wait for her to come back down south so I can take the Advanced Class.

I think the tuition is more like 125.00, and of that, 60.00 or so is materials she provides, and you get to keep, so the actual tuition is more like 65.00.....

Maybe the $160 was for the two classes I was considering? It's been awhile back. Either way, it was above my budget. I can pay $50 or $60 for a class if it's really one of those I am dying to go to, but apparently I am in the minority. I would LOVE to take her classes - I am sure there are tons of great reasons. I just, personally, can't afford it.
I will just stalk her blog and keep ruining paper and brayers and ink pads until I like what I can create on my own.

Hooray for you! Have been receiving her email updates fro quite sometime and am amazed at her work. Enjoy and let us know all about it.
I'm bumping this! It's in less than two weeks! I *think* there's still a few seats left, c'mon you Southern Idaho/Eastern Oregon gals! Let's show Michelle we can sell out!
Also, fwiw, I don't believe it's a SU only workshop...not sure where that info came from.....
I love Michelle's work! Unfortunately, by the time my friend and I were ready to sign up for both the beginner and advanced classes, the advanced class sold out : (
I took her class last September and it was wonderful. It hasn't changed the way I stamp -- yet, but I'm working on it. It takes a little practice; I'm just amazed at how she seems to see the card all finished before she even starts. Mine just grow whatever direction they choose, which is probably why it hasn't changed the way I stamp yet. Definitely take as many of her classes as you can get into/afford. They are well worth the money.
A group of six of us drove from Wichita, Kansas to Oklahoma City last November (We signed up for the class in May!) for Michelle's classes. I can not express to you how much fun we had!! Even learned A LOT!! Michelle is an awesome instructer and a really great person. She even went out to dinner with us after the begginer class. If you ever get a chance to take one of her classes. DO IT!! Worth every penny!!

I just took her class in Colleyville, Texas and it has totally made me a brayering addict!!! The class does seem expensive but like others have said, you get over $60 worth of supplies to take with you and the class is 3 hours long, so it's really about $20 an hour. I think of it as a once in a lifetime opportunity and it has changed the way I approach my cardmaking. You get SOOOO much information and feedback that you can't get from videos or chats online. Worth every penny as far as I'm concerned. Enjoy!!!!
I also went to the Moore, Oklahoma class last November. It was AWESOME!!! She picks out great stamp sets to work with and you will learn how to use your ink in ways that will make your stamped images become works of art, right before your eyes. A wonderful artist and teacher she is! Everyone should go to her class if they have the chance. Yes, you have to sign up early...she only has 10 (or 12) per class. Well worth the money and the drive.
So glad I had the opportunity to meet Michelle and take her class with my 5 of my stampin' buddies. A great time was had by everyone.
Location: The Volunteer state....beautiful Tennessee!

You're going to have SOOO much fun. It would be great to do this class with a friend, too. When I took her classes last year in New Johnsonville, Tennessee, we laughed so much and learned even more. Michelle has such a strong artistic talent but also a huge talent for teaching. You'll want to brayer everything from now on! Have a great time!
I agree with what everyone else said. I took her beginner brayer workshop here in Ohio last year and I loved it so much that I'm taking the advanced workshop in July. She is a great teacher and she walks around the room giving tips and answering questions. The cards I took home were amazing and I couldn't believe that I had made them. I am brayering so much more now and loving it. If anyone gets a chance to take a class they are well worth the money. You have to sign up early though, they fill up fast!
I took her class last August in Columbia Missouri. She is nice, funny and oh sooooooo talented. I have made a few brayered cards. The only one I posted was one of my Christmas cards. It's not that it's so hard but it's like anything else, practice practice practice. I am in awe of her. I have cased several of her cards using her tutorials. I had a blast. I truly encourage anyone of you to take her classes if you like her style.
I was the host last year when she came to Savannah, GA. I took both classes and had a blast. I learned so much from her classes. I invited Michelle to stay at my house for the weekend and as an extra bonus I had a one-on-one tutorial in my craft room for about 3 hours on Sunday night. She even helped me set up a gallery on SCS to post one of the cards we made that night. I am so excited that she is coming back to Savannah to teach another set of classes in a few months... I can't wait to see what we will be learning this time.
