I hate when I start a tread and no one responds! I guess there's not much to respond to so I'll think of something. I wanna keep this topic on the HOMEPAGE so we get more to come!! So start responding like crazy!
Okay here we go...
If you won a $100 million dollar Power Ball...what would be the 1st thing you would buy?
Come everybody, we are going to have sooo much fun, you don't want to miss out! We would love to meet all the area SCS'ers, come for a fun day of stampin' and gabbin'!
Stamps would be the last thing on my mind. Okay, that was an exageration.....maybe not the last thing...but probably the 4th or 5th thing I'd buy.
The 1st thing I'd buy is new clothes!!!
Seriously I'd love to be a guest on "What Not to Wear"! My wardrope BITES!
or maybe a Ford Explorere Sport Track fully loaded
or maybe a new House (2 story with 5 beds 3 baths)
or a vacation to PARIS (ha ha ha  )
or a Boob Lift
Hey Paris, I'm with you.....need new wardrobe badly. I'm always the last one to get new clothes, but would die of embarrasment if I were on What Not to Wear!
I've been to Paris, France and would love to go back.
Don't need a new car, but would take one if given to me.
Own our house, but need new windows.
I'd buy stamps before clothes!!!!!

I notice you didn't mention anything about a boob lift.
okay..so stamps and a boob lift!
Also clothes, I would also be great for "What not to Wear" I could be their poster child!
Then...I guess a new house, new car & trips, yes...perhaps to PARIS...I've never been there, but took 2 years of French in high school! (like I would remember anything other than Bonjour, and maybe a few sware words!)
You're so funny......
Nope don't need a boob lift YET  ...underwire does the job for now! When I hit my 50's or 60's I might see the need for a lift, things are shifting south but not so it bothers me yet. I think it would be time for a shift upwards if they hit my bellybutton!

Thanks Tami!
It's funny....at 19 I said I would never, ever concider a boob job or a face lift, I would just acept it. Ha! Now all of those things are starting to look better and better. What's a little pain compared to a few more years of 'perkyness'?
You all are too funny! Can't wait for the big SCS bash in MN! I'm registered and looking forward to seeing everyones swap ideas and contest cards! I was daydreaming at work the other day when my swap idea came to mind and had to stop everything to jot it down on a post-it so I wouldn't forget!
Paris...when you win the lottery and buy that 5 bedroom, 2 story house, don't forget to get yourself a house maid! You don't want to have to clean that big mansion!
If I win the lottery I'll start up a scrap and stamp retreat and that way we'll all have a place to go..every month or week or day or however often we need that get away from the day-to-day madness! As soon as that happens, I'll be sure to invite you all! Have patience as it may take an eternity...
See all the MN SCSers soon!
Kim
P.S. don't need a boob lift...just a boob reduction!
I like the idea a of "stamp -n- scrap" retreat place. My aunt goes to one up north every year with a bunch of girls and has a blast! She's invited me, but I haven't been able to attend yet.... Maybe next year. If I would win the power ball (I'd have to buy a ticket first) I'd buy a house! My DH and I live in a 1 bedroom apt, only 800 sq ft. My stamps are starting to take over!!!   The house has to be big enough for me to have a "stamp room", and a garage big enought for my DH to have a workshop to hold all his wood. I'd also give some to my parents - they've helps us out a lot, I would love to give back. Hmmm... I'd buy more stamps of course, don't need a boob job, but may need an uplift some time down the road.... I'd save some, I guess we;ll need some down the road someday!
Jen
PS - See you on the 13th! I can't wait. I have no idea what my shoe box will be, but I bet it'll be good!

Your Aunt goes? Do you know which one? I'm heading up to Camp Shamineau tomorrow for a weekend of stamping and scrapping with 7 other gals. Plan to get a big head start on my Christmas cards. It's great fun....
Anyone else going to be up at Camp Shamineau this weekend?
Sure it counts. I know what you mean about always feeling behind. It's a great way to bounce ideas off of each other too. Not to mention a fun weekend with girlfriends to cut up and have some fun. You have to try and get a way for a weekend one of these days. I figure my DH gets his hunting trips in, so he can give me a big break for 2 weekends out of the year. It's a great way for my DH and DD to have some quality bonding time. Although I never know what I'm going to walk into when I get home..YIKES! It's still worth the 2.5 days away.
camp shamineau is just a camp facility... it is just outside of motley off of hwy 10. Friends of mine worked there in the summer one year.
the scrapbook/stamp retreat that stamperkim is going to there must just be using the facility? hey kim.. share the details with us if you can.. who organizes the weekend you are going on? maybe I can plan ahead for the next one!!
Pinefeather you are correct on your directions. The camp actually puts it on. They now have one in the spring too, so if you start planning now, you could be sure to register for the spring one. Be quick though as it fills up quickly.
Our group of 8 registers the first day it's open and it's all the luck of how they open up the mail as to whether or not you get your first choice weekend and location. They open the camp up for scrap-n-stamp for 2 or 3 weekends in November and then they have a spring one too (March or April).
It is a camp facility so you sleep on small worn out beds and you bring your own bedding. You sit in hard chairs and the lighting is terrible, but it's still a great getaway (which as you know they are few and far between). Meals are included in the weekend and the cost is relatively inexpensive (about $100).
There is another place just down the road called Raspberry Ridge, but it's booked out for YEARS. I lucked up and got in with a group that now has a weekend in the summer every year. Their accomodations are extremely nice, but it's next to impossible to get in.
You gals will have to check these two options out as you probably both are ready for a full weekend of nothing but stamping and/or scrapping! It is definately something that I look forward to every year.
See you at Paris's gathering in a couple weeks.
Oh yeah, I better run out and get my lottery ticket...never know when my luck will come through!
there is a retreat place near bemidji, mn that is a newer place and there is a retreat center here in st cloud at the grubers quilt shop.. well will have to look into the possibilities.. I know there are lots of places this could be held potentially.
Maybe we can find a facility like stamperkim described but with one added bonus...stamping and spa services...you know like manicures, pedicures, wraps, massages, breakfast in bed, chocolate, cheesecake...
Oh boy we'd really think we died and went to heaven. Camp Shamineau offers massages, but none of that other fine stuff you mentioned. They also have technique classes throughout the weekend and a little store of supplies. I made a wedding album for my brother and his new bride and gave it to them for their 1 year anniversary. At least years weekend retreat at Shamineau they had a gentleman there embossing albums, so I had the Wedding Album embossed. It really turned out nicely and I hear that he's going to be there this weekend too. The guy told me that he runs a business out of Ramsey or Anoka somewhere.
This weekend I'm strictly stamping...I have to get ready for Paris's big event the weekend after...need to finish making my shoebox swap and winter contest card. Oh boy, lucky me, two fun filled weekends back to back of stamping!
Wow, I'd love it if the SCS MN gals could do a weekend retreat together next year! For Rasberry Ridge you just need to get 16 gals, but I bet we'd never be lucky enough to find a weekend that's free....there just has to be another facility that would work.
I just have to win that lottery so I can build my own retreat then it'd be available all year long!
I never made it back here this afternoon at work.. I actually had to work. The place my aunt goes to is Raspberry Ridge. The place is booked! Here's the web site link for it. http://www.raspberryridgecabin.com I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to go there! The picture on the website are awesome! Maybe next year. :( The other camp place sounds good too. I think it'd be fun to put a weekend retreate together someplace. I'm game! A weekend of STAMPIN"

I noticed a bed-n-breakfast in Redwing,Mn that has an attic converted into a meeting room. They offer stamping and sraping events. Thought that sounded like fun.
Hey Paris, your RAK looks just fine to me. Not that I was checking you out or anything. :P
I'm with you on that whole new wardrobe thing. I'd love to have those people visit me and help me plan a whole new wardrobe without that whole do it in front of the world on tv!
New cars, a maid, more stamps, vacations.... I could go on.

I suppose I was setting myself up for this!! Don't you ladies be check'n out my RAK now on the 13th!!
A MAID would be great too! And maybe a part-time Nanny. I could stamp and check out SCS while the nanny watched the kids!!! Wow- how wonderfull would that be.
My husband is still shaking his head over the idea that I talk to a bunch of women on the internet and then acctually met them in person.
Funny!
Yeah, we teach our kids not to plan to meet face to face anyone we meet on the internet  yet, here we are planning to do just that!
But if you can't trust your internet girlfriends, who can ya trust!
