Default Help inking large solid stamps

I'm having problem getting a good solid image on my large solid stamps like the Daisy in Definitely Decorative Daisy. When I stamp it, it's always blotchy. Can anyone help?

Are you turning it upside down and placing the inkpad on the stamp or stamp to inkpad?

I stamp larger stamps the same way I do backgrounds. Ink the stamp and turn in upside down. Then carefully place your cardstock over the stamp and gently rub your hand over the cardstock making sure not to move the cardstock or it will smudge. Sometimes when you press down on a larger stamp it's hard to get even pressure. This way works best for me. Hope it helps!

When I look at the stamp itself after I have inked it (by pressing the stamp on the inkpad or by rubbing the inkpad on the stamp), the ink is dotted all over the stamp and not inked uniformly on the stamp.

The best thing to do is to use a brayer. Put your stamp ruber side up on the table and apply the color with a brayer, then put your card stock on top of the stamp, a piece of paper on top and run your brayer all over it. It also helps clean your brayer.
Good luck!
