Default Help with displaying multiple gift cards...

I have a friend who needs ideas on displaying multiple gift cards to be given as a single gift to her son's teacher. She thinks she will be getting 10-15 various gift cards. I was thinking of some sort of "bouquet" of gift cards. Any ideas? If you have made something and can send me a link to a photo that would be awesome! Thanks.

What about some sort of pouch/envelope book with one for each day of the week. She can then use it for her daily reminders or whatever needs to go in there but the cards can go in each day ith extras on the weekend days. Clear as mud right? LOL

Amy Sheffer did some really cool tins with insert for many cards. Here are the links:

You could make a picture holder like the one I made. I used a little pot I had, some heavy gauge wire, and plaster of paris. I coiled both ends of the wire - the one at the bottom holds the wire so it doesn't pull out of the plaster. This one isn't finished, but you could make it quite tall to fit more holders and decorate it...

For a school fundraiser, they arranged them in a large picture frame. The winner got the frame with all the gift cards. (Nope it wasn't me. :rolleyes You could also get a plant and use some florist's card holders and stick them in there.

You could attach them all (with removable adhesive) to a long length of ribbon and put them in a gift bag. Make a tag for the end of the ribbon and let it hang out of the gift bag. I did this for my niece for her 21st birthday, instead of gift cards I attached sticks of gum and called it a "21 Gum Salute".

Hi you could do as Nancy says, except put them into a nice decorated box, with the end of the ribbon attached inside the lid, so the long length unwinds as the lid is lifted.
Nancy love that ''21 gum salute''. hugs to all who need them.Rosie.x

Default Gift card accordian holder

How about making a little wallet / accordian holder. That way they can bring it with them whereever they shop. You can make little tabs, like file folders with the name of the shop for easing finding or group them into sections, like food, books, electronics, etc. If you search this site you can probably find several accordian type holders that you can modify to the size of the gift card.

This is awesome--for a teacher the base could be a "teachery" cup or an apple (real or ceramic).

By the way, what gauge wire did you use? It looks strong enough to hold, but obviously soft enough to coil.

Its 20 gauge. I bought it in the hardware section at the dollar store on a spool. I wrapped it around a dowel first and then pulled it into shape. I've been meaning to finish this project off for months and never get around to it.

We did this at Christmas and "decorated" a small tree with the gift cards for a teacher. Take your inspiration from the season...maybe do something similar with a beautiful pot of hydrangeas and tie the cards on to the stems. Another source of inspiration could be the dollar store. Walk the aisles and see what you could decorate or fill with cards. Good luck!

At Christmas, I gave my niece a bunch of gift cards and made a chipboard coaster book to hold them all. I decorated each page very simply, but you could do whatever you want. The scalloped "pockets" were just the right size for a horizontal or vertical placement of the gift cards. You can see it here:

You could also put each into one page of a small brag book or photo album, mounted on a decorated sheet.

Default gift cards

for this past xmas we gave my parents 40 gift cards/certificates...I made card holders with the su top note die and rolled the certificates. I then tied each one to a LONG ribbon. I made a bow to stick out of the top of the gift bag that said pull on it. They had a ton of fun pulling and pulling the ribbon as the cards came out.
I did tuck tissue paper over the top of them to hide them at first.

Dannie Graves does some really cute things with coin envelopes (makes little books out of them.) I made them one year for teacher gifts and the teachers raved. You can see some of her ideas here:
