When she got to the part about the packages of card bases and said "if I buy another one of these and don't make a card, someone needs to hit me in the head!" I just lost it.
So glad this was shared! I LOVE this lady. :-D
And then I remember I have a package but the envelopes are about 1/2 inch bigger than the cards! So I don't use them.
We have to admit, stamp/scrap companies sure know how to market.
THANK YOU for starting this thread and sharing this link to Linda's video! Lordy Bee, I laughed til I cried. Humorous and Hilarious! And ... like I said in the comment I left on U-Tube ... maybe when STAMPER'S ANONYMOUS chose the name of their company, they had a vision of all of us future addicts! Hee!
I am with the rest of you in the "guilty as charged" group. I was laughing out loud and my husband came in and I told him that he had to see this. Now, you need to understand that "come in" means find a place to stand behind me because my craft/computer room/office is so bad that there is standing room only on a little path from the door to the computer (where I was sitting). He didn't see all of it, but he said, you have got to save that and watch it again! Obviously, I am not one of those folks that hides her stash...it is everywhere! This video is very funny and oh so true, but...we are happy, happy, happy.

I always use envelopes bigger than cards. I put extra card stock or padding in for when I have embellishments on my cards and I must mail them.
Padding works for protection in mailing and the bigger envelope works for the extra padding!
Trust me, have you ever received an card from a stamper through the mail that does not put extra padding for a card that uses "bumpy"embellishments" and does not bother to walk it into the post office for non-machinable stamp. It get pretty messed up! ;)
Just saying Please use padding and extra postage and save your Beautiful work!!!!
Done with my Stampers Message of the Day :p

Oh, man, too funny. And yes, I must be crazy. I have more than two lifetimes of stuff to make cards with, more than enough patterned papers. And yet, my local store has a 50% off papers deal right now, and I want to go. But I. do. not. need. any. more. paper! lol.
Thanks for the laughs.

I don't need anymore paper either! I feel like I'm sacrificing a child but I've started using premium paper (not the cheap thin stuff or the stuff I bought in those 180 page packs for 10 bucks) for ENVELOPES! Ack! But the cards look so pretty in there and I have that new WRMK envelope board and I have to USE it right? Just about gives me a heart attack every time I do it. I even trimmed a card down so I could get an envelope from an 8x8" sheet to fit my card. I'm determined to experiment and find a way to make an A2 envie from 8x8" paper even though they say you need 8 1/8" square paper. Seriously? 1/8" difference!
I've had a general (not New Years) resolution for the last couple years to use my stash. If it is something I yearn to use I pretty much do as long as I feel the card and recipient are worthy. I don't add expensive bellies to cards that likely will get thrown away.
But that doesn't stop me from buying! I afford it by only buying stuff that's on sale or the most part. Coupons at michaels, sales at online stores and I often shop steal sites like scrapbooksteals.com or blitzy.com I also buy from Joan's Gardens and her prices are usually about 10% less than MSRP. Scrapbook steals and other steal sites are usually at least 40-50% off and not all the stock is old and tired stuff we've seen over and over. But you do have to read your email often and be quick to get the best stuff. And being in Canada, I do pay quite a bit in shipping. But overall, I'm sure I still pay less.

I confess! I am a better shopper than crafter. After 20 years of accumulation, I am trying to use my stash. Truly, I am making an effort. But I find I need some more Prima flowers or different color cardstock or a new pad of printed paper....you get the idea. After all the stuff I bought 20 years ago look so dated.

I had a bunch of paper already cut to 8x8" before I got my envelope punch board, so I started experimenting.
Just make your first punch and score at 3 5/8". You will end up with a 4 1/2 x 5 3/4 envelope which is the normal size used for a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card. Hope that helps!
