Thanks for filling us in! My minis always arrive later than a lot of people here, so it is always fun to get a preview!

Thanks, Jan, for posting. I'm not a demo so this was exciting for me! Which ones were your favorites? Any predictions about what will be popular here on SCS? Mona

I was thrilled to hear about the stamp sets and the prices were great! Then I remembered, being Canadian, they are going to increase the prices by at least 30%. :( Then its not such a bargain anymore.

I'm gonna find an American rep!!!

Thanks for giving us the scoop!!

I was so excited about the WW2 that I told my customers at a stamp camp this evening about it. We've all been talking about how we LOVE the first set & were thinking about a lot of words we were hoping they'd come out with in a #2 set. Now they have!! SUCH GREAT NEWS!

Oh, I can't wait to see the mini catty. They all sound really wonderful, expsecially Wonderful Words 2!!! They keep us happy by bring new and wonderful stamps all the time. I think I am going to go broke soon, if I get all the ones I want. I will have to limit myself on what to get first.

I haven't seen it yet but my SIL was telling me about it on the phone today and it must be good because she doesn't usually like stuff in the mini's enought to preorder but she wants lots of stuff out of this one.

How sad or we. We are all so excited about a new word set. No wonder our dh think we are crazy. But it is so much fun.

Really? It helps me in my buying decisions. I purchased many things from my old demo that were going to be on special the following month. She never warned me. With a wish list as long as mine, it is not like she would be out a sale because I would have picked something else.

By knowing these sales, specials and new sets ahead of time, I can make better choices. Like the "lifecycles" set. With a nearly 2 year-old, I know it will be a must have and some of the baby sets on my list will wait for the next baby, KWIM?

Thanks for the "heads up" - I just received the Feb SS, so I know the Spring mini will be about 2 weeks from now...

Can't wait to tell my group about WWII - that's a must have. We'll be using WW in a workshop this weekend, so I'm sure they'll be thrilled to know WWII is a few weeks away...

Thanks for posting such detailed descriptions of the sets and wheels . . . I'm so excited !!!

I am a bit tortured though because I haven't received my February SS yet and I usually don't get my minis until the 1st, so I'll have to wait 11 DAYS  including 2 Sundays before I get to see the images and samples !!!

To the customer that was upset about reading these things on the regular posts, you may want to use the information you have about the minis and ask your demo if you can preview her mini so that you know how to reorganize your wish list (I do it monthly). I show my customers the minis all the time because I want to share my excitement and I'm sure your demo would love to share her's with you too !!!

I saw the set that looks like In Full Bloom at Beate's it is so adorable. The snail is TOOOOOO cute! I can't wait to see the other sets. Boy I wish I had a crystal ball so I could see that will make it into the big catty--I hate to buy stuff that I can't demo later!!!

And then there is the mysterious March 50% special.....

and I haven't put in my SAB order yet (a friend of mine is having a party next week so i told her I would wait until then to place my order)...

This is my plan of attack: I am going to wait to hear about the March special (since Demos should know about it on Feb. 15), and then decide how to order my spring mini sets! (either preorder in Feb. or wait until Mar.)

I guess it will also depend on my sales during Sell-a-bration - I might need to preorder to get myself to the next rewards level....

what fun decisions to make!
I love it when Stampin' Up throws great sets and sales at us!

Definitely WWII - can't wait to get that set! Also, would love to see the new DD Fruit set - wonder if it matches my Longaberger fruit liners (that they discontinued)...I'm in the process of redoing the kitchen to match those liners, so this would be perfect!

Thanks for posting - I probably won't get mine for at least another week!

Hi Kathleen! ( my best friends name too!!) Shelli is so darn nice!! She is the one who leaned in for the photo! I was being respectful didnt crowd her, and she just leaned like that!! Its so cool, I have another pic with her too, and she does the same thing, she doesnt just stand there like a statue or some unaproachable queen, she just REALLY likes everyone!!! I remember her family was beggin' her to leave ( it was after the convention party, about 12:15) and she told them to wait cuz there were a lot of gals that wanted a pic with her! Isnt that cool!!

3 Things:

1. katydidnt--NO FAIR!!! You get to play with Beate!!!! I hope you are a thankful stamper!!

2. Keri--your avatar is so cute!!!

3. My husband is gonna have to work some major overtime!!! That list of new stuff sounds way awesome!

I for one think it is cool when you demos can get the new stuff first. I really does help with decision making, usually detrimental to my checkbook! There have been sets that I did not really like at all, and then you people use them--ARG!!!! When Inkalicious started posting all the cute stuff with Fun Filled--there went a chunk of change!!! It has also helped me to decide that I would probably not use the set like I thought I would.
Please, when you all get your new toys, trim 'em fast, mount 'em quick, stamp 'em hard, scan 'em quick. Post 'em here, Rawhide (ok that didn't really fit in...)

I've had great response to the post of the new mini. I'm glad to share with you all.
Several people have emailed me requesting pictures. Unfortunately due to SU!'s copyright policy, I cannot post any pics :(

I wish that SU! would post the new minis on the demo site when they send them out, like they do for the SS magazines each month. I'm still awaiting my February issue, but at least I have been able to look at it online. I would LOVE to see this mini right now (I'm planning for Easter) !!!

BTW, is the bunny from the set of 4 a full bunny or a close up of the face? Does it look like a bunny in nature or cartoon like? (I can't think of the name of the set, but I remember reading that it was similar to Close to Nature, which I love )

Myra, It's in the set Drawing on Nature, It's a full sideview w/some foliage behind it visible, looks (to me )like the same artist as the set Flora
& Fauna on pg.168 of the big catty(same style anyway).The images are 1 1/8"x 1 3/8"HTH

BTW, is the bunny from the set of 4 a full bunny or a close up of the face? Does it look like a bunny in nature or cartoon like? (I can't think of the name of the set, but I remember reading that it was similar to Close to Nature, which I love )
It looks like a bunny in nature....laying down and the view is of its profile. Looks like he's laying in front of iris leaves or some other tall flower. These are square stamps, with a border around. These are like woodcut stamps.

Default Have you seen it? The Spring Mini Is Here!

OMG you are getting so much faster than I am and I wish it was in my hands too! It's seems to take at least a week to get to central MN from Utah. Lucky you!!!!!!
Thanks for all the descriptions of the stamp sets, I can hardly wait to see it.
