Have you ever had "off" days, no creativity at all!?
 I have tried to make 2 cards today and just couldn't do it. The colors were "off", and they just looked bad!LOL So....I have stopped trying to create for today, maybe if I take a break it will come back to me.
All the time! Sometimes I sit down and try to make something and nothing looks right. Normally I do as you said and just walk away for a while. Or sometimes I might try a color combo or sketch challenge (or both) to get my creativity going again. Sometimes it works, while other times I manage to make a perfectly nice sketch and color combo look horrible . Don't worry, it will come back to you!
Yeah. TODAY! It is frustrating. I find its better to do something else for awhile and maybe that will help. Sometimes its good to just sit down and CASE someones project, that helps to get things moving, too!
You are not alone! (Obviously. lol)
This happens to me more often than I'd like to admit. Sometimes, I will leave my stuff out overnight after a very productive and creative day of card making and the next day, I feel almost "forced" to work on more stuff since it's already out. (I stamp at my dining room table so I'm constantly taking it out and putting it away.) It's usually times like that that I feel least creative - when I'm forcing myself.
So then, I just clean it all up, put it all away and wait for the craft buggy to bite me!
Thanks for the words of confidence!!!
I think I got my "mojo" back!!!LOL
I posted 2 cards in my Gallery. The most current one "In My Thoughts" is one of my all time favorite cards. I used some of my late grandmother's vintage trim on this one!
This happens all the time to me too -- I finally have time to sit down and make a card or two and nothing works out for me. Then I get frustrated and when that happens, I know its just time to pack it up for the night and hope for better next time! I am glad to hear it happens to others too, because sometimes it just frustrates me to no end!
Yep, me too! I've had a lot of those kinds of days lately. A project starts off great then I get half way through and can't figure out how to finish it off, or I get it done and it doesn't look right. Like it needs something else to complete it, but I can't figure out what it needs.
I find that when my life is most hetic my mojo isn't there. OR if my house is a mess. Once I take care of those things, I have my mojo back. When you have a business where you make altered items for people and jewlery it isn't so great to not have the mojo. But when I do have it I can really turn out some good work. I have learned not to push it and just let it take its course.

I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one with "off" days. Especially since mine are more like off weeks!! Usually a shopping trip takes of it for me too!

UGH... I have more "off" days than "on" lately. Partly due to stress. I need to relax and just let it happen, but I get so keyed up, I just walk away without finishing what I have started.
Instead of stamping tonight, I just organized part of my studio.. I found some things in a box that I hadn't seen in months (we moved to Colorado last September). Now I kinda feel a little mojo flowing but am too tired to create :(
My mojo goes on vacation all the time, seems when I need to get a card done or I'm trying to figure something out my mojo is elsewhere. But let me be sleeping and I swear an idea will literally wake me up.

Oh my gosh, YES. all the time!! Then I usually end up on SCS and look for a challenge or browse the gallery to help me out. Isn't it so frustrating sometimes???
I call it crafter's block. I want to, I have the stuff, I get ideas here....then NOTHING! or what I try ends up a big mess and a waste of paper & time. Other days...I'm on a roll!
Sometimes I just keep plugging away 'till I make something I'm happy with, and other times I walk away and come back when I feel like my stampin' mojo is back in full swing!!
Flipping through magazines or browsing the net with the purpose to find stuff that inspires me to create is a big help!
I have days where I can't think of anything to stamp. Then I have days where I have so many ideas swimming in my head, I can't get any of them on paper. It is frustrating, but usually doesn't last very long. I just tell myself I need a break to recharge my creativity! Besides, the laundry has to get done sometime!!

Yes, my off days come when I am not working, so I sit and waste an enormous amount of time fussing, redoing, or starting over! This at the expense of the dirty dishes and laundry that I ignore . . .
Oh my yes! I have days when everything is butt ugly! It's usually because I keep thinking about what I "should" be doing instead of playing.
Sometimes it's get better if I just do my chores and other times it just kind of hangs around like a black gloomy storm cloud. That's when I just play and practice techniques. I don't try to make anything. New color combinations, a new template, etc. By the end I usually get my creative juices flowing and can make something work keeping.
Absolutely! I have a tough time with my mojo if my chores aren't done and the house in a reasonably orderly fashion. Sometimes, I still have to walk away - that's usually when I go to SCS for ideas.

I have completely lost the little creativity and 'mojo' that I had!! I finally felt like I was getting somewhere in Feb and then in March: POOF!! I hope it comes back!! otherwise, I gotta lot of stuff!!!
I quite often have days like this , i'll go into my room with my head full of ideas, get my stuff out .....and then what?......nothing..! I'll get more and more stuff out, totally trash my room and end up with one really bad card . I did it yesterday, i uploaded the card and today i deleted it! Iam at my worst when someone requests a card with a certain theme or style " oh it's for a 70 year old who loves purple and is into snow boarding". You know the type they think you've got all the gear and you can rustle it up for collection tonight..for next to nothing because it's for a freind. Why can't they just look in your stash, say "this ones nice, i'll have it ", and leave you in peace to do your own thing?
