I had heard that there might be singing at some of the morning sessions but I wasn't expecting it to be any good!! Jaron gave me goosebumps when he was singing today!
Okay so am I the only nerd who thinks Jaron is HOT!?! LOL I have such a thing for short guys and theater!! (for those of you who don't know me I'm almost 6' tall! LOL! Don't know why but it's always been the short ones who get me going!)

Jaron is totally hot! I met him in AC last year! He's way talented in the stampin' area, too! He's the perfect man!!! A man that stamps and loves his family!
At the general sessions all the presenters and have been talking about what their dreams are. Jaron Winder is a traning event facilator for SU and today he was talking about how one of his dreams was to sing on Broadway...then he broke out in a song from Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde. Gave me goosebumps I'm such a theater nerd!
I'm also a Broadway dork. He sang "This is the Moment" - he was really good. The crowd went crazy.
Speaking of Broadway stuff, last night my family & I went to see the first preview show of Disney's "The Little Mermaid". Really fun to be there for the very first showing!
I had goosebumps too! I think that was my favorite thing at convention so far. He even got a standing ovation and made many ladies cry! I think he should do next year's convention theme song. Wouldn't that be cool?

I think, if I remember right, Jaron is one of SU's design team members, and does a lot of the presentations at regional seminars as well as convention. I know he told us about having an office at SU headquarters where he "stole" Shilo's emery board because it had cool colored stripes on it. It was an inspiration piece he used to teach us the baby wipe technique! He is super funny, cute, and a terrific stamper! Tons of great ideas from him!

Where did you go see that? That would be really neat!
What? Has Jaron replaced Spencer as the singing presenter? Convention just wouldn't be the same for you all without his showtunes -- maybe later!

I heard Spencer was ticked that they let Jaron sing and not him! But Jaron was SOOOSOOOOSOo awesome, seriously, there were ladies literally crying. It was incredibly inspirational. This IS my moment! I'm seizing the day.
Seriously, I was so stinkin' inspired today I want to go home immediately to start implementing all the things I have learned!!! Ok, OK, so I will finish out the week. But I learned so much in the first day that it was worth all the money and time and even the Denver traffic, LOL.

He is an awesome talented stamper with a ton of great ideas, esp, with pictures of his kids, and I too, a big ole dork, teared up at his singing. I thought he would be very dramatic, but he was serious and it was a beautiful song....
I love Jaron! Can't wait to see him next week! I'm gonna make it my goal every year to get my picture taken with him! I did it last year...I just need a repeat performance!
Jaron is so stinkin' cute I can hardly stand it. I am missing convention this year, but last year we ran into him at the convention center on check-in day and we bombarded him with photo requests. Poor guy, he's like a rock star being hounded by fans! hahaah Here's a pic of me with him. And, he's taller than me! LOL

As an aside, I wouldn't put much stock in anything I "heard" about Spencer being jealous. It may have been said in jest, if said at all. Spencer will probably still have his moment of silliness coming up.

he's the reason I go to Regionals! I thought he was soooo funny, and I wouldn't have guessed that he had a family. If you KWIM?!!! But... Now that I know a little more about him by going to the regionals, I think he's very cool!
And I totally Agree, he stamps and sings? His wife is lucky!
My dh rolls his eyes at the word stamp, and the last time I heard him sing (truley sing was at our wedding!)
I bet Spencer will get his chance today. I hope so, he's got an amazing voice as well and always puts so much thought into his original songs. I had the pleasure of attending a performance of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with him and some other demos last year after convention and it was amazing. He's a super guy as well!

Do you remember the song Spencer sung last year? I swear, it made me cry. I wish I could get a recoring of it. I forget exactly what it was, only that I needed to hear it before every event - it was so stampin' beautiful!!!
I overheard Spencer say yesterday that he would not be singing or presenting this year. It was his turn to be "behind the scenes" which is too bad. But Jaron sure brought the house down yesterday. What a voice!
In my limited experience (two conventions and Leadership) I have been amazed at how multi-talented many of these SU employees are! They put on an amazing demonstration...funny and creative....and then burst into song besides! Seems like someone played the piano one year (maybe I'm making that up!!) and wasn't there a quartet one time? I would have rather seen the SU employees be the entertainment sometimes than the "real" entertainment. I'm sure they have time to plan an evening production along with their other duties!!
Now I really am crying a river that I couldn't go this year. He is so much fun, and I'm so sad I missed it. I was looking at some of the pics that have been posted, and literally getting teary-eyed that I am not there. I'm so glad you gals are posting to let us see it thru your eyes. Thanks again!
Get in line -- Spencer is MY man! He's keeping a low profile this year so next year he can sing to me!

Sorry ladies. It's 4:00 here on the last day, and so far no onstage sighting of Spencer! :( Jaron is awesome and I was blown away at his talent in the singing, comedy and stamping departments.
For those of you missing Spencer and wanting to hear him sing, he sang every day, several times a day at the Marketing Resource Center a song about the Demonstrator Business Website (DBWS) to the tune of the Village People's YMCA. It was nice this year that he manned the booth the whole time at the Marketing Resource Center because you could have one on one conversations with him. He was having a problem with his voice this year so they had his music for his song recorded in 3 octives so depending on his voice she could change it higher or lower.
He did get on stage and hula dance with the other men didn't he?
so wait, jaron's talents aside, What WAS the entertainment this year?

I don't think he was in that group. But Brent Steele was, with no shirt on!!! ;)
