Everybody has their own reasons for putting a card in their Favorites and I thought that I'd share a few of my reasons.
I like the layout but usually how the stamp set and embellishments are used. I rarely Favorite a card to CASE. Sometimes it's just flat out gorgeous and I'll use it to inspire me for something on down the road.
I favorite a card for many reasons including ... the way ribbon was used, a color combo, a layout/sketch, the stamp(s) and/or technique used, and overall artistry of the creation.
For me it's either just the overall impression the card makes, or because there's some little neat detail like the way a ribbon is used or hardware added that I'd like to remember for another day. Or an idea of a way to use a stamp I have. I have to admit I don't favourite very many - more than one a week is a lot for me!
I favorite a card if I like the color combos, the style, it uses a technqiue I want to try, if it uses a supply I own (like a nestie or die cut) and I want ideas to use it.
Stamps that I have to have, layouts that I have to try, clever ideas that I wish were mine, cards that I wish people would send to me because they're so pretty....
And I still get warm fuzzies when someone favorites one of my cards!
If I favorite a card it's usually because there's some technique used on it that I want to remember to try. Or, I might also favorite one just because I find it extra pretty.
I favorite a card that either I love the sketch, color combo, or whole thing...or even just one tiny thing...like a way to tie a ribbon that I don't want to forget...or a die they used that I *need*...it could be the tiniest little detail I just *gotta remember*.

I usually favorite a card if it is a stamp that I have, this way I can get ideas on how to use what I have. There are a few that I have that I favored just because they jumped out at me and I was really impressed with how it was done.

Sometimes it's because I have the stamp set and like the layout and colors of the card. I usually end up casing it. Sometimes I'll favorite one that I don't have the stamp set because I like the colors and have sets that I think they will go with. And also, I'll favorite cards that I don't have the stamp sets for but that card convinced me to buy them:-) Right now I'm doing that with pocket sillhouetes, favoriting the ones that I like so when I buy it I can go back and make them!
I favorite a card because it really catches my eye! Some details I want to study so I might incorporate into a card someday. Sometimes it's just the stamp. Sometimes its all the detail. Something caught my attention, and I want to look at it again and again! I may simply just want to look at it again because of the way it makes me feel when I see it.
technique, colors, overall beauty and the layouts!
i rarely if ever case a favorite, i guess i treat them more like
an art gallery, i just like to view them!

I typically case only stamp sets that I have or types of projects I would like to complete. Sometimes if I see a cool new way to use ribbon, etc. It is almost 100% for beginning inspiration or even a CASE. I usually only favorite if it is something I can do myself so I don't get overwhelmed with a ton of "favorites". I delete as soon as I have used the idea to help keep my favorites folder clean.

I have so many cards in my favorites! Something cathches my eye, be it the stamp, the colors, the ribbon or the layout. It might have something that I want to try, so I need it to remind myself. (CRS!!) I always think I'm going to CASE it, but it always ends up completely different.
So I guess most of them inspire me!!

Because I have not one creative bone in my body and I have to CASe them or I would never get a single card done!! Really. I am a great copier, not a great artist. I think it comes from sewing for people all those years; they design, I sew. Anytime I CASE it means a compliment to the creator. And, I have probably CASE everyone here!!!
I put a few in my favorites because they really caught my eye.
Maybe some day I will be as good in card making as the people who made these wonderful cards.

I think the first thing that attracts me is the colors used. The second and third are the layout and the technique. If it's a set I already have or intend to get, then I will probably put in in my favorites; if I don't like the set, I may put it in favorites anyhow if I especially like the colors, layout and technique, so that I can adapt to a different set.
I'll favorite a card because there's "something" about it that I think I can use later -- color combo, use of ribbon, a particular stamp I have, a technique that I think I can conquer.
I usually favorite a card because there's something on the card that I wouldn've have thought of (how to use a punch, layout, use of a stamp). It gives me new ideas that I love and can use on making my own cards. If I favorite them then I can look back on them and remember, otherwise I see a nice new idea, and then forget it.
Also I favorite for color combinations that I like or layouts that I like or a new type of card fold or technique. Usually its for new ideas. I don't even copy the card exactly or even close, I just use some of the ideas in it as a starting point for my own card.

So many reasons, so little time to explain.
#1 I like it!!
It grabs me, makes me smile, makes me giggle.
Like the colors, embellies, etc.
Like the stamp set
Like the layout
Sparks my creativity
May CASE or may not.
I'm sure that there are a hundred reasons to go with the hundred that I have favorited already!!
hmmm ... I don't favorite cards 'cause I save them to my computer instead with the username in the filename, but same diff. Why do I save them? Well, usually because I have the stamps and loved the unique way that artist used them, or the colours are eyecatching, or the embellishment caught my eye as one to try or the technique or ... There's no one reason I save!
oh, but I rarely save it to case it. I save to be inspired!
