Shelli gave away Bermuda cruise trips to ten random demonstrators this morning! Their names were random and they all had to run on stage to get a letter with more information. One poor lady was in the bathroom or something so Shelli gave the tenth cruise away to another person!
You *truly* have to be there to claim your prizes, I guess! You snooze, you lose.
Man, I wish I would have won the cruise!

That's AWESOME! What a great prirze!
They used to give prizes @ convention, leadership, etc. by drawing names & you did have to be in the room & run up on stage. Can you imagine the excitement?!?

I was so excited to see CardLuver's name on the screen! She and her baby made it up to the stage in time, but she forgot to take her name tag! Luckily a friend ran to give it to her, and she will be going to Bermuda...
WHAT!!!???!!! I was thinking this week about how I won NOTHING, nope, nothing, zip, zilch, nada last year at convention and how I couldn't wait for this year because I was SURE I'd win SOMETHING!! Surely you can't go two years in a row and not get picked for a prize, right. At least that's what I was thinking. Here I was hoping for a set from the holiday mini catalog and now you tell me THIS!!! I nearly fainted dead away!!!! I probably wouldn't make it on stage because I'd seriously drop right there of complete and total shock!! What an amazing thing for SU! to do. Can you imagine how excited the winners must have been!!??!!!

Soooo, Britiney, if you win, can I go with you! LOLOL
In the news ..."Denver area saw a large increase in Depends sales today..."
mary rose
Well, if Depends are good enough for female astronauts mixed up in love triangles driving across country, Depends ought to be good enough for the everyday, ordinary Stampin' Up! demonstrator who just needs to stay in the room long enough to hear her name called!

How about you arm wrestle my husband for it. You'd better start lifting weights!! ;) I was assuming it was for two people, just like if you earn it, but no one said for sure. Does anyone know what the deets are? My DH would definitely NOT blink an eyelash at me going to convention ever again, would he!
When I told him that they'd given cruises away at firs session he said he'd probably be able to hear me screaming here at home and know in an instant that I'd won. He said they'd never give me another prize, EVER! I'd scream for a week!! How well he knows me. HA!

Yeah, I guess I'd lose that one! LOL I can't imagine *not* screaming if ya won a cruise!

Woohoo!! That's awesome! Thanks for sharing her news Vera!
It was kind of like a dream, like it wasn't real that my name was up there. My upline, Princessannabananna, had to tell me my name was up there and to get up to the stage. I wasn't really sure that I was reading the list properly.
My downline Rose-Ellen Eastman was a cruise winner!!!!!! She's a new demonstrator and I'm so happy for her. Congratulations to all the winners!
OK forgive me but I'm a little foggy today as we were up till 2AM stampin of course....but I just posted under a different demonstrators name. OOPS!!!!
I forgot to log in under my own name here in the internet cafe. Sorry to stampwitherin. Of course I'm so embarassed because my own downline informed me of my mistake. Oh well....congrats again Rose-Ellen!!!
What a treat for those demos!!! I only wish they had the "full" access to the cruise - they won't get all the perks the others earned. But still - a free cruise with a ton of demonstrators - how cool is that!!!!!
Wow, even though it would be a bummer not to get to fully participate, it's still an awesome prize! I don't usually get picked for such lovely prizes (or any lowly prizes either as a general rule!) but since I get seasick, I guess that will increase the odds of me winning? lol! Hey, for a free cruise I would try to find something to help with the seasickness....and yes, I HAVE been on a cruise before on a BIG ship. I was there for almost 3 months and I was seasick every day but only when the ship was cutting across the wind, no problem when we headed into the wind or had the wind at our backs. That was also a free cruise, courtesy of Uncle Sam on the USNS Comfort during the Persian Gulf War but I would be way more excited about a free SU cruise, I promise! Jan
Wow!! That sure is an amazing gift Shelli and SU! is giving to lucky demos! Makes me wish I was there to try to win. Although, I'm totally an unlucky person. I can have twice as many entries in something as another person and I don't win. Oh, woe is me. Congrats to all the winners.

Actually the person who won but wasn't there is my sideline. Her name is Rhonda (Rellerd here on SCS). ANyhow, she wasn't actually in the bathroom, she didn't come to Denver. Still really cruddy to miss the trip, but just wanted to let you all know. Lucky for the last person though I suppose.
I kinda feel a little better for Rhonda. I kept thinking how awful it must have been to come back from the bathroom to find out you missed something like that! It's still sad that she wasn't there to accept the invitation.
Congratulations to all whose names were drawn! What a fantastic prize!
I was blessed to be one of the cruise winners today. It was so exciting! We were all so excited we were shaking. I have no idea who the other winners were. I was in such a daze after I saw my name on the screen. It was a dream come true! I can't believe they gave away such a great prize. My husband gets to go with me too. All we have to pay for is our airfare to New York City. I don't get to attend the make and takes or general sessions, but I get to hang out on a ship with a bunch of awesome Stampin' Up! ladies. I can't wait!

Are you the Sheryl Walker that I know from Wichita??? I know your location says Colorado...but????
Even if you aren't I am so excited for you!! Congratulations!!
I know everyone in the room was hoping their name would be on the screen, but when TWO names I knew came up, I was thrilled! One of the ladies at my table in the SCS shoebox last night won, too, though now her name is escaping me (yeah, I should be asleep, not just in bed with the laptop! LOL).
And then for CardLuver and her sweet little one to win, too, was SO SO cool!! Can't ask for a better first convention than that, eh? So happy for you, Rose-Ellen!!
I'm glad to know that the 10th winner was really NOT here. It was pretty clear - it's not as though they gave her a minute or two to get there - everyone else was up on stage and accounted for before they dealt with that. I know if MY friend/UL/DL/SL was a winner but in the bathroom I'd not only be dragging her out, but telling everyone on stage that she WAS coming! A bummer to "win" but not, regardless.
Congrats to ALL the winners!!
