I'm trying to get inspired to make an extra special baby shower card. It's to send with a present for my sister-in-law in Texas who will be giving birth to my niece (1st grandbaby on this side of the family -- we're all VERY excited!). I'd love to see examples of your "extra special" card!

i have been making some baby cards lately. my sister is expecting her 3rd grand baby! i told her i'd be willing to make some announcements or shower invites (this baby was unexpected and has 'not a thing to wear')
i love the onsie cards... (i made a few more in different colors)
Here's a card I made for my new nephew born last Thursday! I wanted it to be special and "different". The parents aren't into all the baby colors so I thought this might tickle their fancy! Enjoy!

I don't know what stamp sets you have to work with, bute here are a couple of shower invitations that I have made that can be turned into a shower card...
I haven't done a lot of baby cards but here are a few:

This one was done for my brother-in-law's first great-grandson, and my sister did an embroidered birth announcement with the same animals on it already so requested them on the card.

This one was for a couple that had trouble conceiving their first child - I wanted something exuberant!
I have the Papertrey new baby set and need to get busy with a couple myself - I've seen some cute ideas with it under the Papertrey cards in the gallery. good luck!

Thanks for the reminder - I forgot to upload the card I made recently for the latest family baby! I always think that if you know the baby's name then incorporating that or the initial helps to make the card feel special. Here's the one I just uploaded: Welcome Baby Toby
I guess if the baby's name hasn't been decided at the time you make the card, you could maybe use the family's last name and go for something like "Welcome Baby Jones"
I spent Tuesday morning making a few cards because my supervisor in work wanted one to give her son, after the arrival of her first grandchild.
This is the one she went for without the slightest hesitation, though it was my least favourite of the 3 I offered her. Pheobe It's a Girl by Cook22 at Splitcoaststampers
haha, I thought I didn't have any baby cards in my gallery to share but I guess I do! I actually have to make a card for a baby shower tomorrow ( Nothing like procratinating!) I think I might have to try the baby room card...although I am hatching a baby carriage card Idea too...if they work out I'll make sure to post them.
Thanks for all the great ideas! I did make one and I'm pretty happy with it. I might try a couple more though to see if I like anything better. The card probably won't matter much as much as I decided at the last minute to fly to Texas for the shower!
