Default Embossing on Wood Frames

I have recently purchased some of the wooden frames and was wondering if anyone had any ideas how to decorate them.

Should I paint them prior to stamping? Can you emboss on them?

Any ideas / suggestions at all would be appreciated.

I have some in my gallery. I painted them and then stamped with versamark and embossed. They were really easy and look a lot harder than they were!

Katie,

Thanks so much for the reply.

I am still relatively new to this site. Could you let me know how I would be able to view the frames in your gallery?
