Can’t you create a Gmail address and forward the sdcglobal messes to the new address? I think that should work. You can probably download the contacts to a file then import them to Gmail. I know I have done the contacts several years ago on EarthLink.

I am afraid when I changed over I lost all of mine because the only way was to forward. It does not take long to do one...so maybe do 20 a day? Start with the ones with your mom. It does not remove it from the original in case it does not work-it is sending a copy...you can always try again. Or maybe print those out to keep.
