Default Distressing tool

I'm sure this has been asked before. What distressing tool is everyone using on thier cards to make the paper look old and a little torn. I know how to distress with ink just not sure about the other. Thanks!

I have a Heidi Swapp distressing tool that just roughs up the edges of my paper a little bit. I got it for $.99 at Archivers. SU also has a distressing tool that is part of a set. I don't remember everything else that is part of the little tool, but I know one scores and one perforates. Hope that's what you're looking for.

I use the blade of my scissors. I just swipe it and it gives it a textured look, then I usually add the ink. And it's easy and cheap! I do want to get the key chain with the scissors and distressing tool (the cutter kit) but it's $23.00 so it will have to wait until I take the plunge of being a demo!

I've been using the distressor tool on the Stampin' Up! Cutter Kit. I find that it's easy to use. At my most recent stamp-a-stack we used the tool to make a card the participants loved the tool!
