This year is the 15th anniversary of DTGD, and everyone's welcome to play along! Be sure to check the DTGD forum for special instructions and extra chances to win prizes from our amazing sponsors!
Yay for the earlier date! I've had to miss the past couple years because of family stuff and would have had to miss again this year for the same reason. The new date, though, is 100% clear for me and I'm so excited! Thank you for hosting this event.
Yay!!!!! I haven’t been able to join the past few years either, as the dates didn’t work for me. As of now, this week looks like I’ll be able to play! It’s so much fun!!!

How exciting that you are a new club member, Springpatchlady!!! You are in for some fun, and yes, take part in as much as your schedule will allow. It is always fun and over the years in taking part in it, I have won some fabulous prizes along the way. If special supplies are needed, information will be out there to let you know, but for the most part, have fun and be creative. I have met lots of great stamping friends I haven't met in person, but have gotten to know well here on SCS. This is a great community and your membership into the fan club opens up limitless opportunities for you as well. The fee is less than that of a magazine subscription, and you certainly get more for your money here at Splitcoaststampers.

Dare To Get Dirty week is so fun! There are challenges every day (this year, from July 16-22) and I believe the number of challenges each day is around 7. Yes, it's intense but you can do as many challenges are you like or as time allows. The challenges are a mix of techniques, color combinations, sketches, the use of specific products, etc. I've found it to be a fantastic way to dive deep in to my stash, revisit old techniques and supplies, and learn new ways of being creative.
After completing a challenge, you take a photo of your card and upload it to the DTGD gallery, using the keyword assigned to that challenge. It's also helpful to put the keyword in your card title.
At the end of DTGD names are drawn for prizes, with higher-value prizes to those who complete and upload with the correct challenge keyword every single challenge (I did that one year to earn Queen status and it was exhilarating!)
A supplies/shopping list is posted in the DTGD forum prior to the start of the event so that everyone can check his or her stash.
To prepare, some people cut card bases, stamp and color images, or die-cut generic shapes.
Have fun with the week! I love it!

Wow, that sounds super intense but so fun! Hopefully, I'll get a chance to participate in a few of the challenges (primary care-giving for elderly dad makes things a bit hard to schedule for me).
