Since July of 2004, we’ve thanked our Fan Club members for supporting Splitcoast financially with a themed monthly gallery. We think up a theme, and our twelve talented designers create away, filling the gallery with all kinds of things to inspire and enable, and to give you a little something extra for your contributions to Splitcoast. We know you love to ogle the projects every month, and we know you’re all immensely talented, too.


Then we thought - how fun would it be get our Fan Club members to play along in challenges with us? With that thought, Dare to Get Dirty week was born. We're happy to celebrate our 10th anniversary with you with a week full of stamping challenges.

So what’s this all about?

Easy. It’s all about you. Sure, we’re playing, too, but we want to see what you do when you're challenged!

Our Dirty Dozen Designers, both past and present, have a fun week planned for you. You’ll see a little of everything – inspiration, 3D items, color and layout challenges, techniques, tutorials . . . . and besides the stamping part of things, we wanted to add something else, more personal interaction! We’ve got everything all pre-posted and ready to go, and the girls will be there in the chat threads to answer any of your pressing questions. If you’ve ever wondered how someone does something, ask away. They’re there to dish and share their dirty little secrets with you! We will even have a fun, new live chat feature waiting for you in the challenge forum!

Do I have to do them all?

Nah, just do what you can or what grabs you, or just jump in and chat with the girls if you can’t actually stamp during the challenges. We want to see your work and get to know you better!

What if I do do them all?

Good question! How about a prize drawing for those who complete all of the challenges (combining challenges is cool, of course!) and upload by August 11th at 11:59 PM CST?

Number of Winners? Well, we probably better have a dozen! And our sponsors this year are our AMAZING Member Companies, so get ready to win products from your favorite companies!

So when does it all start?
Saturday, August 2nd, we’ll post the first set of challenges here, and will continue posting challenges through Friday, August 8th.

Are there any rules?

Have fun! Combine challenges, go nuts with one challenge and do ten entries. Upload to your gallery, post your creations on your blog . . . just keep the details of the challenges in the Fan Club forum, okay? (This means in your description, don't say: "This card is for Kim's challenge to use blue and yellow - challenge details are for Fan Club members only) That’s it!

Only Fan Club Members will be able to upload to this event gallery and win prizes, but everyone will be able to view and comment on your creations.

Maybe you're remembering that as well as the prize-winners who completed all the challenges with combining, there was also a Queens thread for those who made a separate card for each challenge?? Like with HYCCT where you're eligible just for taking part but the Queens thread is for those who made one for every single challenge...

Hopefully I will have full use of the internet by the weekend. Lightening has knocked it out of my computer. I'm currently using my neighbor's IPad and wireless connection. My son is going to fix it, but he's tied up with moving and a sick child. If worse comes to worse, I can do the challenges and upload them all at once.

Oh no, Lois! Hopefully you will have your internet connection back by Saturday. It's so nice of your neighbor to let you use her iPad to check your email and SCS. Crossing my fingers for ya! :-)

Thanks Kathy.............. My Fan Club wasn't up until the 5th of August but I renewed it just now so I don't forget !! After I got to actually thinking about it.....I remembered that half way through last year's challenges I couldn't play... Lydia checked and I was delinquent. Fixed that in VERY fast order !!! ha ha Only get to play a few days as I'm going out of town on Tuesday. Will try and play catch up when I return.

I thought it was going up at 6am Eastern........ must be 6am on the west coast.

Is there a forum that we have to upload to? All I did was post the card in the DTGD14 gallery. I doubt I will get them all done with the sitting of the dogs, but I do want to make sure I do correctly with what I do get accomplished. Thanks for the great fun to push us beyond our comfort zone!!!

This is my first year as a fan club member (finally was able to afford it!) so this will be my first D2GD Challenge! I just came across it, so I am already one day behind..... ACK! I better stop this and get busy stampin'!!!!

I woke up this morning looking for new challenges only to realize that yesterday was the last day. DTGD is over already?!?!?!? Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww........... I've had a wonderful time and the challenges were so much fun!!! Thank you to ALL of you fabulous ladies who hosted challenges this year!

I have been gone on vacation for the last two weeks and could not get my laptop to cooperate at all while I was away. (Think I need a new one {Tablet}so I don't have to fight this one.) So I get home and finally have some time yesterday and today to get on Splitcoast. Did a few challenges and then I find the DTGD challenges. Boo Hoo! I didn't get to do any of them yet. But I will do a few tomorrow if I can. I'll just post whatever I get done.
I must be a bad Fan Club member - Been a member for years and I did not know this happened (DTGD Challenges) until just now. Where and how have I missed this in years past?

Was just wondering IF and a big if, but I might make all the challenges, is there somewhere we should tell the girls we did them all or anywhere to sign or something like that, or just have them in all the keywords and galleries. In the DTGD forum you'll find a thread titled Challenge Queens Thread - ** no chatter ** - that's where you'll share your link list - one card for each challenge.

We have several QUEENS already!!

TY Dini, just one last question,I just read that forum and it says ONE card for each forum, doe that mean we couldn't combine challenges, because I thought I read in the dare to get dirty forum it said you could...just wondering...Ty for your time...:0)

my understanding is that you must have one unique card for each challenge in order to be a queen. You can combine challenges But you won't be able to attain queen status unless you have one card for each challenge. Correct me if I'm wrong...

You are welcome to combine challenges. Any entry qualifies you for prizes. There are a couple of special prizes up for grabs for those who have a separate entry for each challenge.

In your list for the Queen's thread, you'll need one unique card for each keyword... in other words, each card may be listed only once, even if it does qualify for another challenge. In the gallery it's fine for them to have multiple keywords. Does that make sense? (example: maybe I made a watermelon card in the shape of a triangle, and stenciled in the seeds. In the gallery it has 3 keywords listed. If I have a list in the Queen's thread, I can only use it once.
