I just saw the new set Mr. Twigster and I must admit he kinda creeps me out. I think it must be the stick legs sticking out the bottom of his body.
So what newer set is strange or creepy to you?
Inquiring minds want to know.

I just got Mr. Twigster because I think he is soooo ugly I just had to have him. I made a cute card with him thought. My vote on creepy goes to Sock Monkey.
Holiday Lineup is my vote for worst stamp set of the new catalog. Who wants a card with a bunch of pissed off looking reindeer?!!? Mr. Twigster is not my style, and I'm not a sock monkey fan either. Quite honestly... I don't think I'll purchase any of the new SU sets this time around. I've started looking around at other companies for stamps that are more 'me'.

Twigster looks like he has 2 eggs for a body. A snowman is supposed to have 3 large round snowballs for a body. The twigs for arms is ok. Never saw a snowman with legs.
I think you have to be older to appreciate sock monkey. I do like him, but the other stamps in that set spoil it for me. Can't justify the set just for the one stamp.
Okay, when I first saw Mr. Twigster, I HAD to have him (I did order him, but haven't had time to use him yet), he was my favorite. I hated the Holiday Lineup until I saw it colored in. Ordered that one, too, and colored one already. Turned out really cute (I ordered it for the snowmen, and perhaps the reindeer one could be funny, but I doubt the elves will ever see ink).
Sock Monkey? Yeah, I'm with you on that one! They've always creeped me out, and even my cousin who *loves* sock monkeys didn't want him...
To each his own, I guess. Still lovin' the Twigster, though.
I gotta say that even if the dirty dozen devoted an entire month to Twigster, I'd still think he was weird and creepy. I can't put a finger on exactly why, but I think it's the legs on him. Just strangely drawn too.
And don't even get me started on how creepy sock monkey is - ewwwww.
I don't know if I would use the word creepy to describe Mr. Twigster. Idiotic and juvenile, maybe. :p Honestly, did they hire a 4 year old to draw him? Doesn't that violate some kind of child labor law?
What an interesting thread. I don't care for Mr. Twigster. I think it's more his nose than the legs. The set looks very childish to me. I'm sure some people can make wonder things with those stamps though.
I didn't think I liked the sock monkey at first. Just not into him, not creeped out. But then I bought him because he grew on me, and DH liked him.

I love Holiday lineup!! I love the expressions on the faces, I think they reason they don't look happy is that one of them had a really bad gas problem. At least that was my first thought, but then again, that seems to be a theme in my house with my DH and DS. I wasn't sure about Mr Twigster, but ended up getting him in my preorder, he has kind of grown on me, but sock monkey is definately not my thing. Although my upline did a card with sock monkey that was actually very nice.(not meaning her cards normally aren't), but it still wasn't enough to get me to buy it.

ME!! Oh, pick me! I'm totally creeped out by sock monkey. Mr. Twigster is odd but won't give me nightmares.

With those skinny legs, big boots, and no clothes on, Mr. Twigster looks like a "flasher". All he needs is a trench coat! And it's the goofy smile on the sock monkey that turns me off.

Ohhh, I love the elves.
Can't you just picture this look on their faces when Will Ferrell's character from Elf calls himself a "cotton-headed ninnymuggin"?
I know....I know....I need to get myself a cup of coffee.....LOL!!!!

ME!!!!!!!! That set cracks me up and people I send Christmas cards to would really *get* that set.
Mr. Twigster (I just "got" it...his arms and legs are twigs...ok, anyway) is wierd looking to me too, I just like a normal snowman with 3 parts and stick arms only, that's just me though and I dont like that he is drawn unevenly. All this is not to say that I wont see how cute he is in the gallery and buy him one day..I'm easy like that
Sock Monkey is growing on me and I think my neices and nephew would like a monkey card, just havent bought him yet.
The one set I think is wierd/creepy is On the Fly. I dont like faceless people.
I wouldn't call him creepy really. He is kind of one of those things - that he is so ugly he's cute......Poor thing probably doesn't have any snowpeople friends though. : (
We went on a ghost tour while in Key West and the face of the sock monkey totally reminds me of Robert the Doll, which is way creepy. I see that doll every time I look at the stamp.
