Hey ladies, I can finally officially add my name here. When this thread started we already knew, but due to internet blurps we had to wait to open our mouths. (hard to do) All that Scraps announced their new 12 members of the design team last night! I am so honored to be among the incredibly talented girls on the team. I will let the other girls toot their own horn.

Yup, that's my secret! So now I can tell you I'm on that ATS team as well as Verve and Gina K.

ditto here! first time on a design team. it'll be a challenge and a bit intimidating with all the other talent out there!
Great idea! I'm on the design teams of:
Lasting Impressions with Panache http://www.lasimppan.com/
and
Sparkle N Sprinkle http://sparklensprinkle.com/
(I also drew some of the art which they made into rubber stamps. Pretty excited about that.)
What an interesting thread and a novel idea. I am on Creative Cuts and More's Design Team. I will pass this thread on to the other members of the design team.
I forgot to mention in my last post that www.creativecutsandmore.com is also seeking new design team members. So if you are not currently on a design team or want to be on another one, you should email Terry via her website and send her some of your work for consideration. Just thought I would share this with the rest of you.
I am a designer for High Hopes Rubber stamps, and also for All That Scraps. I have done some designing for Artful Inkables and had a guest stint on iheart2stamp.com.
Stampers Dream is an Ebay store run by Michelle Rodgers. And that's the Team I'd submitted to in my first post to this thread - and I've been accepted.
However, I'm curious to know exactly how these things work. They are obviously not exclusive, as many people are on multiple design teams.
If you work for a rubber stamp company, do they send you items for free, and you create things with them for the company to display online, in catalogs, etc.? Do you actually get paid, or do you just get free stuff? Do you work at home, or do you get together with other design team members?
What about people that are on other kinds of design teams?

Some companies just give you free supplies. Others pay you as well. It depends on the company.
The company may also buy the products you create - this would depend on the company as well. For a web-store they really don't need the actual card for a sample - a photo is fine. But if they own a brick and mortar store they may want to display the projects next to the products. Or if they want to publish them in a magazine they may purchase them.
Most of the time you would work at home and create the projects and the only reason you would get together and do it would be if you lived near each other. If you're working for someone that you met over the Internet (like I met Gina K.) then you probably won't work with the other DT members because the live in Canada, South Carolina, or Texas.

HTH
Thanks for the info. This makes sense. The only reason I thought you might work together is because people keep saying how much fun it is.
I guess that people on 4 and 5 design teams are very busy people!!!!
I'm a designer for Paper Wings (I'm a Winger), a TAC only site. The link is in my siggy. Unfortunately, you have to be an Angel to see the wingers work, but the public gallery is growing daily. I would love to be on other teams, but I'm still nervous that my work isn't good enough. I like to be on one that compensates monetarily, but stamps will do to, lol.
I'm so excited to see all of these DT's - I'm going to be swamped with ideas to try! I'm also on the Design Team for Creative Cuts and More (www.creativecutsandmore.com). I'm a 'newbie' but there are several other extremely talented gals on the team including Dusty Patrick who posted earlier.
I am blown away! So many talented ladies (and guys,Kurtis) on this site! I haven't even heard of 1/2 these companies. I definitely want to make the time to go check them out. Thanks for starting the thread Joan.
I currently design for Jessica Lynn Original (www.jessicalynnoriginal.com). My goal is to apply for more design teams this year. I hope I have the confidence to send those email applications in!!! I have a deep fear of rejection....LOL!!
