Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for Week Ending September 27, 2009
AMAZING week in the gallery. I didn't get a chance to look until last night (too much writing and blogging this week!), and in about half an hour favorited over thirty cards. Now I have to go back and leave comments. How delightful, because I can tell them all they are listed on this thread!
Please remember to use the CAS keyword when you upload a CAS card, and leave comments to encourage CAS stampers whenever you can. In my blitz of the gallery last night, I saw so many cards with ZERO comments that were positively lovely. I have time today to go leave some love, and will. Care to join me?
Here are my favorites for the week:
hskelly posted an Aqua Mist birdie card that has just a hint of black to anchor the design...brilliant! She also made an Upsy Daisy card that's simply amazing
lorettal made an OLC that is sweet and sincere and very, very simple
lauraos used a strip of patterned paper and two stamps to make a lovely gorgeous autumn card
steffie1027 used a very simple monochromatic color scheme with texture and pattern to make a beautifully simple card with lots of interest; she also posted a fun and doodly Be Fruitful card
stampgroover made a really fun, very CAS collage card using crisp, sophisticated colors and pre-made items with stunning effect
JenniB04 used a tree and some clever stitching to make a lovely fall thinking of you card
SophieLaFontaine's Cupcake Critter card grabbed my attention immediately with its incredibly clean design and whimsical critter
rochellelee made a Note of Thanks card with Falling Leaves that is so graphic and crisp...check out that little library clip embellishment!
Astrogirl04 used a butterfly punch and selection of papers to make an awesomely CAS "celebrate you" card
Cutterscallous used courderoy buttons and PTI's new Christmas tree set to make a totally fabulous OLC
LynniePoo made a very simple, very powerful sympathy card with one layer, one flower and one sentiment
JulieHRR posted a Witchy Window card that is SO CUTE!
starbucks_stamper made an appropriate coffee card with a high-impact sophistication in the color scheme and embellishment
Albongo posted this wonderful Christmas card that takes a busy stamp but uses it so cleanly and simply that the overall impact is CAS...amazing!
alliohran used crystal effects and a button to great effect on her cute pumpkin card
keuby posted a simple OLC with three buttons and one stamp that is AWESOMELY CAS
cmf1216 used a bit of embossing, a sheer ribbon, and a great layout on her Wine card
Rox71's delightfully crisp pumpkin card captures the spirit of fall
k dunbrook's absolutely fun and graphic CAS33 card uses fun pp, a circle punch and great design
AGMommyof2 posted a fun Mix It Up card with liquid glass and drinks so fresh-looking I want to dive in!
glenda s made her own buttons and a great card with pretty dp and crystal lacquer
craftycaro made a delightful baby shower invitation and favor
LaLatty used dots and dp very effectively on her Halloween Pumpkins card
stamperjen0 used fun colors and some glitter to make a great birthday card; she also made a sophisticated black and white Thank You card with a dramatic touch of pink for a totally different look
rsalamon used white with crisp fall colors for her totally fab Thankful Dots card; she used the same color scheme and totally different layout for another beautiful So Thankful card
Miss Boo's Christmas Postage card is totally cute and clever, using a postage motif that's hard to pull off in CAS cards so effectively!
card crazy's Merry Christmas card is simply brilliant
mocjen used a very clean layout with autumn colors for her fun and simple Pajama Party Leaves card
Please list your own favorites so we can all see what we missed in the gallery this week!
Thanks so much LateBlossom....Susan for mentioning my card this week....it's amazing how you can find ways to use up all those valuable scraps....can you tell I hate throwing anything out!
You made my day......
In my speed-favoriting last night, I didn't notice that steffie1027 was posting cards by other stampers, so they should be credited to the makers, not to her. Here are the links with the makers' names:

A lovely flocked cardinal by Vera
and... oh gosh, that is the only CAS I favorited. Oops, I guess that's what happens when I don't have time to participate in the CAS challenge during the week. Sorry, I'll do better next week.
Location: in a parallel universe, where i get to stamp all day!

Karen, thanks for listing my card in this week's cas faves. It's always an honor, and I am delighted to have CASE'd the lovely card from Anne Harmon (aka jdmommy). Such a great and easy and elegant card idea. Hugs, Cheryl
Thanks so much for the mention Karen! Now I know why I've had so many more hits on my card today - which BTW was so much fun to make using a kid's tattoo! And the recipients LOVED them too!!
Thank you Laurie and TheSaucyStamper. After yesterday's roll with card-making I've been good today and filled up a whole bag of stuff from my craft-room to FreeCycle. So after a productive but not creative afternoon, it was a lovely surprise and honour to find myself here .
Thank you so much for adding my card to your favorites and mentioning here. You have made my day brighter!
Enjoy your day!
Denise
