Clean and Simple (CAS) Favorites for the Week Ending June 26, 2011
Welcome to the weekly Clean and Simple (or CAS) Favorites Thread! This is where we celebrate the clean and simple style by linking to our favorite CAS projects from the previous week's gallery uploads. EVERYONE is invited to share...newcomers, please dive right in and share!
Here are my favorites from the past week.
Tilly created an amazing, soft, beautiful beach scene with torn paper, chalk, and a few little sea birds; her Thank U card also grabbed my attention with its fun colorblocking and wrapped sentiment treatment
Tami Mayberry went crisp and stylish with her Celebrate card in mostly white with intense pops of red and blue
artystamper posted an Ocean Waves card with fabulous layered waves and a cute little face looking out the portal at them
cmcmathey played around with color and circles on her fun--and very pretty--CAS59 card
Clear and Simple used a gray marker to shade an orange feather...and added some glitter strips for a fabulously fun and clean design
SophieLaFontaine made a whole bunch of fab one-layer cards this week, but this Truck Gift stood out for me because its coloring is just so gosh darn good!
k dunbrook became one with nature on her WT328 card...love the layering of leaves and text here
mbelles totally rocked some Technique Tuesday stamps...check out her three little orange hearts...you can see the glossy accents on her popped one and it's simply perfect
versamom's Wish You Were Here card made me wish I were!
Julia S's white-on-white layering caught my CAS-lovin' eye, and her use of twine was just the right touch of texture
Biggan used yellow flower soft on textured cardstock to create a beautiful and serene OLW59 card that so exemplifies her distinctive artistic style; also check out her CAS124 card with its twine hearts...brilliant!
cookiebaker made delightfully glittery butterflies flutter on her colorful CAS124 card
2ndhandstamps G2G Mission card is so creative and colorful and made me smile
pbvkt posted a totally sweet and wonderfully CAS Thank You card that uses an embossed oval frame very effectively
morningsun47 created a warm and gingham-y blueberry CAS124 card that made me crave blueberry cobbler
hskelly's one-layer Just a Note card makes excellent use of big bling
mocjen sold me on A Muse woodgrain cardstock with her absolutely adorable Happily Ever After card
mom2n2 used three shades of blue and the negatives of a giant scallop die to make some wonderful waves that give the impression of movement on her Life Is Good card
What an amazing week in the gallery! Big, big thanks to all who take the time (and who has enough of THAT?!?!?) to upload and share their work on SCS. The gallery here is amazing for ALL styles of stamping, and it's because of your generosity that we have such a huge resource for inspiration. Thank you!
I can't wait to see what I missed in the big, big gallery this week, so please, please, please share your fabulous finds!
SOME of my CAS favorites. I had sooo many this week, I had to narrow it down to cards with less comments. It seems they were missed by a lot of people! That gallery is just so HUGE that its impossible to see them all! Here goes...
Marie(momof5sons), thank you so much for mentioning my Dropping a Line card as one of your favorites. It really means a lot to me......you started my new week off in a very heart-warming way. Hugs, Sallie
Thank you Marie for mentioning my Hello Friend card - I am honored. And I am hoping to make some time today to case a card in your honor Ms. Queen!
Karen, thanks for letting me know - as always you rock!! Hugs, Harriet

Thank-you fionna51, Diane for favoring my Friend card. I'm truly honored to be recognized for a CAS card. I have the most respect for the people who do this style. You all make such neat and clean cards. There's no room for error. Thanks Susan for starting this thread, and Karen letting me know. Thanks again Diane for including my card with so many fantastic cards. I'm doing the happy dance!!! Holstein aka Linda
Dear Diane (fionna51),
Thank you so much for adding "Three Stripes" to your CAS favorites! This was an absolutely wonderful surprise and honor!
Also, thank you Karen (kddunbrook) for alerting me!
Thank you Diane (fionna51) for your mention of my "Love Flowers" this week. It's such an honor and you made my day! Thanks to karen (k dunbrook) for letting me know.

Thanks so much, Susan! I'm still trying to catch up from vacation so didn't have a chance to check in again until this evening. So many great cards this week!!
I thought I would post a few of my CAS favs for the week too. There are SO MANY beautiful creations here that I am sure I could have forgotten about cooking dinner and continued on.
Aw, Terri, thank you for listing the birthday card I made! Funny thing is, of the three cards I uploaded last week, that one was my least favorite.
Unfortunately I've been too busy creating lately to spend much time browsing the gallery, so I'm not able to "pay it forward" to someone else tonight. (On the bright side, Operation Write Home is going to be getting some cards from me this week!)
Thanks, Susan, for mentioning my card, and to Karen for calling it to my attention.
I needed a lift - have had a three day struggle with hi-jacked e-mail and computer issues (no virus, thank goodness) - I have had little time to get on SCS and checkout cards.
Susan, I'm so glad you liked my card and gave it a mention this week. Makes my day! Thanks to Karen for letting me know.

Wow Susan! Thank you so much. What a nice surprise on a Monday before I drive into work...
What a wonderful, supportive community of talented and nice crafters here at SCS. Goin' to work with a smile. Let them wonder what I am up to. Mwahahahaha...
