Catherine, that sounds like a momentous visit! I always love hearing how people get started cardmaking!
Debbie, I can imagine how excited you were to learn about dye ink! Ykes, what a terrible teacher! I only bring out my embossing now and then because I find it tricky in so many ways so to have to emboss everything would probably end my cardmaking days! I bet you are a pro at it after learning it first! It's a beautiful technique. TFS your card! I enjoyed seeing it!
Joanne, I agree Basic Masking is a bit like magic to me! I love it when I do it but I will admit it's another technique I don't do often because I hate when I don't get the mask perfectly placed and there is a little gap. It takes me a LONG time to do precise things. Love the effect though! TFS your card, it's a wow!
If anyone would like to get messy and do some MM challenges, here is the latest challenge hosted by Melody, here.

I had to google what "Dad Jokes" are
I am thinking most of my humor stamps lean towards sending to a chick friend rather than along the lines of clean and punny. (although I have some, I am still thinking about that)
The sketch challenge includes a tricky fold today, so have fun with that!
The Watercolor Wednesday Challenge is so cool. I really had fun. I stayed very true to the tutorial but I noticed there were several similar tutorials and I would love to give them a try too! So Fun but I do think for this one you want to get out your best watercolor paper!
We couldn't get the video link to work within the challenge or even in the comments so we have the link in our card descriptions. ***edited. I just tried to add the link here but it won't work so...just head to our card descriptions! Here is my Transparency Card.

That's funny, Stacy. My girls tell me that I tell dad jokes so when their dad tells them, they respond with, "Dad told a dad joke!" Yes, we are a silly family.

Most of my stamps were snarky/sarcastic, but I found one that I thought would work.
we are down 3 people at work soon to be 4 with only one new person coming in at the end of next week so, things are busier than usual and reading the challenges here is as far as I have gotten.
I agree with Sabrina and Debbie, yikes Stacy. Hope things ease off soon.
I’m trying to come up with a card and a fun sentiment for Lori’s hubby. I started one yesterday but may have to go back to the drawing board.
happy weekend everyone

In post #102 Post #102 of the messy mixed thread there is a challenge thrown down to paint with coffee...
(there are links to three video's I have seen the first 6 minutes of the first one and wish I was staying home to play...)
The Teapot Challenge will make you teary-eyed (but in a good way!) I won't spoil it just head on over and read for yourself the destination for today's Teapot Challenge. I will say that reading a story like this warms the heart. So nice to know that there are still people who go out of their way to make a difference!
well, it just may be 2 new people. ( cross your fingers)
Crossing my fingers for you, Stacy. A little bit of time being short-staffed is somewhat do-able. Extended is exhausting. I've been there and done that! Also crossing fingers that it isn't just 2 new people but 2 good new people!
So far its going to be only one (and they are just graduating from college) so, the hope is we do not have to train bad habits out of them first lol...)
I am hosting the Watercolor Wednesday Challenge and I have chosen a tutorial from Lydia! This tutorial allows you to make a bunch of backgrounds at one time!
The Sketch Challenge is very interesting this week! If you play along, please let us know so we can check out what you have done!
Don't worry if you think you don't have stamps to fit the category... you just might be surprised at some of the challenges! ;) ;) All are welcome to join us!
