Lydia and Angie, thank you so much for the well wishes and hugs. I really need them and they do make my days better. Thankfully, one week has gone by and I'm hoping this doesn't take six weeks to mend as the paper from the hospital stated.

Oh, precious Brenda, my heart aches for the pain you are enduring. I am praying for you and asking God to heal you quickly and ease your pain. You are dearly loved, sweet friend! Tender hugs! xoxo
Oh, Brenda, Please know that no matter how painful our injuries are and feel, our bodies ARE working very hard, every second, to right itself. Healing IS happening. Sending restful and comforting thoughts your way, dear one.
Cheryl, Misti, and Lori, how comforted you all make me feel. To think about healing taking place is a wonderful thing. Your words, hugs, and prayers sure help my feelings. You're all the best. Thank you so much.

1) a mixed media background
or
2) A differnt fold from the standard greeting card
I love different folds. I hope to sit down and work on the fold from yesterday's technique. It looks fun. The card that Kelly showed on Wednesday's tutorial looks fun as well. Maybe soon.

So I didn't even know about this thread. Learn something new each day.
I'm so sorry, Brenda. I have never broken anything, but it must be awful to break something that can't really be repaired or treated. Even breathing must be hard, I'm guessing. We will wish you speedy healing and you will be missed.
Joanne and Jean, thank you for your uplifting words. Yes, Jean, I have to do deep breathing at times and that really hurts. Coughing is the worst. But, this too shall pass....someday.

Thank you, Diane. I need all the prayers and hugs I can get.

Angie, I'm sorry I hijacked your thread. But, some folks have learned where it is and that is a good thing, right?

I didn't realize there was this thread either! Oh no, my goal was to stay off the computer today! LOL
I'm glad I read through the last couple pages, though.
Brenda, so sorry to hear about your accident. I fell last fall and injured my ribs. It did take 6 months to heal...sorry to say. :( You will get better though! Sending prayers and big HUGS.

Ohhh, Ahhh! The Color Challenge this week is Do Flamingos Eat Crushed Razzleberries.
Oh, Oh, Oh, The teapot Challenge is CATS AND a few other things. You can read it for yourself. The destination is a lady who recently lost her husband.
Question of the day: Teapots. Do you collect teapot or teacup stamps? Do you have a favorite tea related stamp or die?
I made a card for the teapot challenge. Jean likes flowers and green too, so I went with that. Didn't remember that I had some P.B. stamps like Sabrina's that I could have used.
I don't collect teapot or teacup stamps, but I do love doing the Teapot Challenges. My grandmother used to collect pretty china cups and saucers. I have a couple of them.

Thanks, Diane, for the info on this thread. This site is pretty big, lots going on.
Every time I see 'Jean likes green', I think they're talking about me. Whiplash!!!!!
I wonder why some don't play the challenges. I love the connections I've made.

Gracie, my mother-in-law collects teapots. They are so pretty! I LOVE dishware but I can't say I really have a collection.
I do have a collection of tea and coffee themed stamps and dies though.
Jean, I treasure the connections I have made over the years and most of them have started by playing and commenting in the challenges. I wish I could play in every one of them.
How often do you look for a sketch to inspire your art? Do you have a sketch/design before you start creating or do you just roll with it and see where you end up?
Angie, I may start out with a sketch in mind occasionally, but usually my cards take on a life of their own. I have a girlfriend who collects teapot sets. It's fun to have something to search for when you're out and about, no matter what you're collecting!

Busy week in work, playing catch-up now. I enjoy folds, and I find some of them great for helping me use up paper, but in general I'm more likely to start with a background from my stash.
I don't collect tea-related stamps, and actually don't have very many. And no dies. I have an old PTI set which is my go-to for tea related sentiments, but this is probably my favourite cup image: Sleepy Mouse
I do have several very nice actual teapots, which I have featured in challenges over the years. Sadly I don't know what became of my one-cup elephant one.
I have been wanting to try that one too. I have today off, so if I can think of a suitable die, I might try. This is why I love it when people upload to the Technique Spotlight galleries, they give me an instant reference library - even if many cards that could be there aren't. It was thinking of a suitable die that stymied me when the technique was in the Inkling.
Catherine, thank you so much for your prayers and hugs. I sure feel the warmth and kindness from all of you and it sure lifts me up.

Brenda, we miss you and I am praying quick healing for you. Take it easy and stay as comfortable as you can. We will patiently wait for your return to your normal. Hugs being sent your way!

OH my word!!! I still have my tab open from 1 am where I started to link the F4All Challenge but I went to look for the MIX challenge and when I diddn't see it up yet, I guess....I forgot to come back here. The brain at 1am! Ha! Thanks Sabrina for posting the links. It doesn't matter if they formatted! We know what they are!
I am about to post my card for the Free 4 All challenge. I worked late last night so I could post it today!
Liz, thank you so much for your prayers for healing. I have noticed a few changes such as being able to stand up and sit down without so much pain. I still have a terrible time with getting any comfort at night and trying to sleep.
You are all so kind and caring and I appreciate it so much.

Angie, that's a great site for the Inspiration Challenge - a quick glance and I saw lots of things that inspired me. But too late tonight to make a decision!

Just want to say to all the ladies reading this today, YOU are special! Unless you have lived your whole life under a rock you have reached out and mothered someone at sometime in your life so Happy mom's day to every lady!
I had a day long internet interruption. Thankfully it's back and so am I!
TheTeapot Challenge is for Kelly's, (miamikel4) daughter and the challenge is Team Cat or Team Dog. She is home now after a time at the hospital. Ugh. It's never a fun time t go to the hospital but een more so during this particular time.
I grew up with both cats and dogs but was always closer to the dogs, and once I'd left home, I became a total dog person. Except for one brief spell when my ex-husband and I moved to Toronto while he did law school there and our elderly Springer had passed away, I've always had a dog in my life. Can't imagine not having one!

I went with team CATS for the challenge simply because I had a cat stamp I really wanted to use and my brain couldn't process playing on Team DOGS with a cat image...though in terms of the challenge, it would have been perfectly possible. Otherwise I'd probably have used Snoopy. We grew up with both always. My personal pet was a cat, but I like both. Problem with a dog is that they make travel harder unless you have someone to look after it for you. A lot of French campsites are pet friendly and people can bring their dogs over on the ferry. But there are other holidays too...
