CAS (Clean and Simple) Favorites for the week ending February 23, 2014
It's my turn to start the CAS Favourites thread this week. I have to start off by admitting that I spent a lot of time this week watching the Winter Olympics rather than stamping or browsing the gallery! But I managed to find quite a few favourites none-the-less. Here they are:
IC429,Got Milk? by k dunbrook - believe it or not, this one uses milk in place of ink to stamp with! I love the result!
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists. There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
--------------------------------
And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point
--------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
5. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.

My SCS gallery is here should you care to look! Or please visit my blog, Cardmaker's Garret.
Susan already picked 4 of my favorites this week. I had also favorited the cards by Arizona Maine, andib_75, genesis, and nancy littrell. Seems we were drawn to similar cards.
Susan, I'm so happy you liked my Star/Graduation card and gave it a mention here with all these fabulous cards crafters have made this week.
Thanks, Karen, for being on the job. I can tell Karen is excited about the Olympics. :-)

thanks to "Oddesigns" for choosing my card and for all your kind comments on my gallery!
Thanks also to Karen for taking the time to let me know and for your kind comments also!
Thanks to Sue for mentioning "You Brighten my Day" as a favorite this week. What a fun surprise this morning! Thanks also to Karen for the notification.
Thanks to Sue/Odddesigns for listing my simple sympathy card- Silhouette Sympathy- among your favorites this week. I haven't posted in a month, so it's such a boost that anyone is looking at my stuff. I appreciate this so much.
Miss Boo, thanks for the honor of choosing my Delicious Chocolates card as a favorite this week! Karen, thanks for giving me the information!

Here are my CAS favorites from this week -- can't wait to go back and see what the rest of you selected as I feel like my Gallery gazing time was very limited this week...
Floral Multi-challenge by nancy littrell Loved the beautiful colors in Nancy's spray of stenciled flowers
Graphic Birthday by Loll Thompson I really love the combination of the black botanic die cut paired with the cork and white panels.
Good Things by naturecoastcrafter The soft colors in the focal image of this one-layer beauty captured my heart right away
Sending Love by Arizona Maine This card is probably my favorite of all my favorites from this week. Everything about it is stunningly beautiful.
Butterfly by Biggan Love the doodled butterfly and REALLY LOVE the bright warm orange sponging
Thank you Angie and Karen for letting me know Robin, Vicki, and Mary and Fionna fave'd my cards this week. It's always a thrill - but now Sundays are a busy family day and I will have to give up the Sunday Fun of the favourite's galleries, at least for now.
I will always try to leave a happy comment as I go through the gallery during the week .
Wow! What an honour to have my card recognized by one of the most talented card creators on this site. Thank you Sallie (hobbydujour) for making my card a favourite. I am on cloud 9! Thank you also to Karen for your tireless work with the notifications.
Have a fabulously creative week everyone.
Thanks so much to Susan (susanbri) and Sue (Oddesigns) for mentioning my single-layer Wetlands cards among their favorites for the week. And thanks to Karen (k dunbrook) for letting me know about it. I'm honored!
