Hi all my Canadian friends! I am having the hardest time finding green tic tacs. I have looked at Dollarama, Dollar Tree, all subsidiaries of Loblaws Inc, Shoppers Drug Mart, Walmart, and all sorts of convenience stores. No luck anywhere. White, orange, multi-coloured all available - but no green.
I have already made the Grinch pill covers, not knowing that I would have such a hard time finding the tic tacs. I can hop over to the States easily (I live in a border city), but with our dollar trading so badly right now, I was hoping for something Canadian.
If any of you have any suggestions on either 1) where to buy them, or 2) an alternative, please let me know.
Many thanks in advance!

Hand over the chocolate, and no one will get hurt!
I have honestly never seen them here. Our orange are also no longer orange, they are white. To tell them apart from the mint the plastic case is tinted orange.
I checked on the TicTac Canada website (Products - Tic Tac) and they don't list them on their product page.
Thanks for the help. They do exist on the US website, but unfortunately, not on the Cdn website. I am going to try and see if I can colour the outside of the box with a green alcohol marker to achieve the same sort of effect that they have done to the orange ones (tinted box, but not the candies). I'll let you know if that works.

If the container doesn't colour, maybe a window sheet on the outside or perhaps vellum?
The green wintergreen tictacs are my favourite. Unfortunately, they stopped selling them in Canada I think. I haven't been able to find them in stores for at least 15 years or so.

Just a way out idea, do you have a Bulk Foods store in your area? They carry a tremendous amount of bulk candy and the closer to Christmas the more variety . Perhaps you could find a substitute for your project.
I have to buy large bags of Hershey Nuggets when I go south, because they only carry small bags here and it adds up? I have found that Target is cheaper than Walmart for candy if you can't get it at Costco.
