Anyone go to the Stampaway convention in Cincinnati?

It was my first time at this convention and really enjoyed it. Since I live 15 minutes away, I felt really lucky. The one impression I had though was that many of the cards displayed were a lot more complex than what I see on blogs and different galleries. Seems to me one of the trends right now is one layer cards with large sentiments and water colored images which I didn't see a lot of. The cards I saw reminded me of the cards I use to see displayed at Archivers (before I was a card maker) . The ones that made me think a real artist had done them and there was no way I'd be able to do them. I'll admit I didn't go to every booth due to a broken foot, but this was my overall impression. Any impressions ....what did you like, not like? Did u take any classes? Favorite booths ?

I've been going for the past 6 years this year I enjoyed Simon Says booth the most spent alot of cash there. I also do more make and takes this year which allowed me to try some new products. Gary's booth is always a good stop to ink refills and new Zig markers.

I did not go this year but I went about 6 years ago. I'm wondering if it was super crowded and if they extended it to 2 days instead of the 1 day???

I am curious what vendors were there. We have an annual rubber stamp convention just north of Detroit but it has gotten much smaller/few vendors. The venue has changed for this year (it is this weekend) and I am guessing it is because there are not that many vendors coming.

I am looking for someone to trade class times at Stampaway. I am taking the sold out dylusions class on fri 8a. to 11 and want to swap with the later class time. I have been asked to help in another classroom for the morning time. Anyone interested? Maureen

I suggest going to the Stampaway USA 2018 page on Facebook, then posting your query there for better chances of trading your class. ;)

Any body going to the Friday Preview Night have an extra ticket? I have also posted on the Stampaway FB site as mentioned above.
This convention is by far the best for stampers. I loved going every year when I lived in Cincinnati. I am visiting home for once while it is going on and want to go to the preview!
