Just heard, first class postage stamps are going from 58 cents to 60 cents on Sunday July 10, 2022. All postage rates are increasing, and international stamps going from $1.30 to $1.40. Just never ends... but it won't stop me from sending 'happy mail' out...
I need to order stamps anyway, so I better get to it. Thanks for the heads up!

I don't mind the price of stamps going up.....it's the price of mailing a package going up that frequently that makes me cringe! Good thing most people value what's written in a card far more than the "stuff" mailed in a package.

I agree with you about the price of mailing a package. I had heard a rumor from a friend that postage was going up but have not seen any thing on the news or in the
newspaper about it. Maybe the postal service didn't want us to know!
I hope you all know you can buy REAL postage stamps at good discounts on Ebay. Mostly Flags, but some other designs. Different amounts of stamps or full rolls.
There are NO discount stamps on EBay, at Walmart, or anywhere else. Here is the official USPS statement:“As the law enforcement and security branch of the Postal Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is committed to protecting Postal Service employees and customers and preserving the integrity of the U.S. Mail. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is aware of an increase in suspected counterfeit stamps offered for sale with many being offered on online platforms, including social media marketplaces and e-commerce sites via third party vendors. It is believed many of the counterfeit stamps are produced outside of the United States. We ask the public to only purchase stamps from the United States Postal Service or other trusted sources. We also want the public to know the Postal Service does not sell stamps below the value listed on the stamp. The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is actively working to identify shipments of counterfeit postage stamps entering the U.S. and the online sales of suspected counterfeit stamps.”
In addition, postal inspectors confirmed the production of counterfeit postage stamps is punishable under Title 18, U.S. Code § 501 - Postage Stamps, postage meter stamps, and postal cards with a fine or imprisonment of up to five years, or both.
Not willing to use fraudulent postage and risk a knock on my door or worse.

Could harvestmoon be referring to older postage stamps? You can buy those legitimately from verified Ebay sellers and stamp collecting stores. I have done this for years. I collect postage stamps. I also pen pal so I like to theme my postage to match my letter. Lighthouses, Elvis, etc…. If unsure most of these Ebay “stamp stores” also have a Brick and Mortar store. They will be very happy to verify legitimacy. You can also buy stamps at the stamp shows. Look for a stamp dealer that is APS member.
A big note these discounted stamps are usually not the Forever Stamps.
You can buy stamps at estate sales, even thrift stores legally. Of course you have to match the current postage rate. This is fun to do for Happy Mail. You will have a lot of stamps on an envelope. Probably not the best idea for business mail, lol.
Amazon is a good place for legitimate discounted stamps. There is a must on this you have to make sure it is Amazon sending them to you. That it is the USPS store. Right now they have several official stamps 9% off. USPS has an agreement with Amazon to do this.
BuyDiscountStamps, Stamps.com all legitimate for buying discount stamps at a discount or subscription.
On the other side stores can raise prices of stamps like a convenience store, grocery store, etc so they can make a small profit.
Of course USPS. You don’t have to purchase 200 stamps. You can purchase ten, for example. I do this all the time when I don’t want my pretty stamps on business mail. I love to buy stamps at USPS. It is such a big treat for me. I make orders at least once a month. I will always pay the postal increase,
