I am getting ready to make my very first scrapbook. I have made many cards, however, never attempted a scrapbook page. Any suggestion?

I often use card sketches/ideas as a basis for a page. check out my gallery for some of my recent pages. Use all your known techniques.

But the really important think is to relax, enjoy what you are doing, never, ever be critical of yourself. If you do not like something, put it aside and come back to it later. Most important of all - enjoy yourself.

Welcome! If you need some inspiration, check out these threads.
Splitcoaststampers Scrapbook Challenges Forum - Information, Ideas, Discussion & More

You can start with a sketch and that thread has over 200 of them to choose from depending on how many pictures you want to do.

If you'd like advice and suggestions, you can always post to this thread.
2010 July Scrap Goal - SBC10Jul by Lmn at Splitcoaststampers (this one changes each month and there is a gallery of all the ladies who post monthly goals)

It says it's a goal thread but don't think you have to post a goal if you are just starting unless you would like to make yourself accountable for doing pages each month. I'm sure none of the ladies would mind helping you out to get started! Have fun and hope to "see" you and your pages!

I have been scrapbooking for less than a year and I've found that sometimes the information on the web can be overwhelming! I could never have pages that looked like some of them. I finally decided I would take paper, glue and pictures and just start. I decided I wanted my pictures to be the focus, not all the patterned paper & embellishments. My advice is to just start and soon you'll find your style and don't get caught up in trying to having the new latest and greatest tool, paper, or whatever. HTH! Happy scrappin' ;)

Welcome to the other side! My only suggestion is to get some motivation.. look at galleries of layouts, sketches, etc

Just go with it, whatever looks right to you, work with it!
