My card is inspired by the plaid orange pantsuit I had in the early 70s- loved it- and also by America's bicentennial celebration in 1976. Added lots of bright flowers and a bright bunch of cherries- and finished with an aqua painted parchment paper flower in the lower right corner. Here's Groovy Flowers

What a long strange trip it's been.......going back to the 70s! I got to thinking about this Mattel toy I had (ok it might have been in the late 60s) that made flowers. It was called the Thing Maker and you poured in this liquid called plasticgoop into a flower mold and them cooked it. You came up with plastic flowers. They also had one for creepy crawlers and my neighbor even had one that made army men. Anyone know what I'm talking about?? Well it was my inspiration for my card.
I remember lots of muscle cars in the 1970s in San Jose, California- they could really move!- so I made this card, with a chevy ad sentiment. Added a distressed and dry embossed travel panel behind it, and a plaid 3 sided frame. Attached with a 1970s mainstay- transparent tape! Here's Muscle Car

Thanks for the super fun challenge! I could have gone so many ways with this challenge! I love the 70s!!!! Tom T. Hall, Cher, wild colors, bell bottoms, VW bugs and buses...what's not to love!!!
What a fun challenge, Wendy! I had so much fun making this card. It reflects the colors that were "hot" when I was a freshman in college in 1972. The bright lime greens, hot pinks and other wild colors were the rage at that time, and this card is a tribute to fun time:
