Default F4A284 - "Everything Old Is New Again!" - 07/31/15

F4A284 - "Everything Old Is New Again!" - 07/31/15

Seems a lot of what was "old" is now NEW again. This week I am using to "new" products that I have acquired that are VERY similar to some "older" products that I have had (or had run out of) a long while ago! I added a brick textured background AND a clothespin ... items I had used YEARS ago and have just started using again!

So ... your challenge is to add anything YOU have that is a "new" and is a "remake" of something that you had in your stash a LONG time ago (do y'all remember mulberry paper??? I am just WAITING for THAT to come back around again!!) Could be an image (can't tell you how many wordy/scripty background stamp I have that are only just "slightly" different from one another!), paper (I had some Mint Medley from SU years ago ... Now we have a "new" color called "Mint Macaron"), an embossing folder, ribbon or ANY type of embellishment ... Our stash is FULL of things that are "recycled" as "new"!

Here is my sample:

Is something going on with the gallery? I can't see any of the cards posted and the site is very slow!

Wink F4A284 Misty Lighthouse

Wendy- awesome challenge! I love to repurpose- that's why I used a grubby index card- and SU's Coast to Coast for my lighthouse image. Used waxed paper to spread the ink on my card, then my aqua painter to give it that "misty" look. Finished with my hair dryer. Inspired by the mystery book I am reading right now. Here's Misty Lighthouse

I came here looking for a challenge to do today. I so rarely participate anymore. This really got my Mojo working today, I'm so pleased with the result! Thank you for the inspiration!

I used the theme in more ways than one. Thinking about all of my past trends and supplies, I included some old textured cardstock and fall wooden elements that rarely got used but still worked with my paper.

Here's my card:

This card came about due to some really old supplies and I think I have a nice "today" card with them.

Totally agree about new stuff sooo similar to old things...why are we tempted to buy it when we already have almost the exact same thing? Maybe because of some slight improvement in the design? Here's my card...best medicine.

My "new" thing is an folded star ornament that I learned in 2011. That makes it "ancient!"

BTW, not easy to photograph...

Thanks for looking.
