Funny comment about shorts weather. It has been crazy lately with temps of 29 and 55 in the same week. Not looking forward to the rain this week. Guess it'll be okay as long as it doesn't freeze and make an icy mess. Be safe and warm.

I was just reading over all the post (trying to make sure I didn't miss anything) and I guess I should add to the cold conversation...It has snowed here already as well! Could Central Cali be colder than Mass? ah well, I do live in the Sierra Nevada where the Donner party (mostly perished) trying to cross in winter. Look up Donner Pass and/or the Donner party to get the story if you haven't heard of it.

Hmmm...I don't think we wear Birkies...we wear blingy, dressy, flip flops (well, I do, anyway. Some of mine would blind you, lol). Or boots. A jumper to this TX girl is a dress you wear over a blouse or sweater.
And in Texas, it's always called a coke, but the translation is Dr. Pepper, lol (Tx is home of Dr. Pepper). In Atlanta, a coke is just a coke (Atlanta is home of Coca Cola).

I am never going to complain about being cold again, I just read an incredible Donner Party wikipedi story - it was a 3 tissue job. Wow I have learnt such a lot in the Favs thread today AND I have seen so many gorgeous cards.

Soda? Pop? Soda pop? Mostly folks around here just use the brand names, I guess. I don't drink the stuff. My choices: ice water, tea, or an occasional mocha.

I am with you Brenda with the drinks except the mocha I think I like regular iced coffee better and I like Hazelnut coffee in the morning. I drink mostly just water now though.
I grew up drinking mostly just ice tea. My mom put it in my baby bottle...heehee!

When I lived in Indiana we always referred to soda as Coke. Now I am not sure what to call it as I am forever hearing it by different names so I am constantly changing what I call it. Giggles!
