CAS (Clean and Simple) Favorites for Week Ending 1/6/18
Hi, all -
It's Debbie and I'm back to kick off another week of CAS Favorites. I invite you to join me in sharing those CAS creations you loved this past week (12/31/17 - 1/6/1.
CAS Best of 2017 Reminder If you haven't done so already, I invite you to go to the Clean and Simple Best of 2017! thread and share with us your "favorites of your 2017 favorites." It is so fun to take a look back at all those uber special CAS cards we've favorited throughout last year. (You can also share your favorite non-CAS favorites from 2017 on the Favorites - Best of 2017 thread.)
Having said all that, time to get the fun started. Here are the CAS cards I fell in love with this week:
Love is in the Air by Ardyth I love black, white and a pop of color. Ardyth steps that pop up by including a rainbow of color pops on this fun but classy card.
Bonjour! by #Francine Francine had her own take on the black, white and a pop of color in this fun card. I loved how she used partial images of her buildings to allow for more white space and give the images a different look.
Thank You by hobbydujour Sallie's bold check adds big visual impact, without being overbearing or taking anything away from her CAS layout.
Snowflake Sentiments by bethmcc*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** The large embossed snowflake on this beauty looks like it is emanating from the stamped snowflake in the center. So pretty!!
Toucan Party by Jesscbanks*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** Jessie's coloring is a standout on this fun card. I also liked the sentiment flag coming in from the left for an unexpected detail.
Christmas Sheltering Tree by daisystampinator*** NEW-TO-ME-STAMPER *** The use of light blue on this winter beauty really gives the feeling of a winter day. The red pop of color on the bird and the red sentiment tie everything together.
Chilly Thanks by LittleSeaOtter Kecia's snow person just makes me happy - he/she looks to be so happy out in the falling snow. I also LOVED the color of her sky.
This thread is open to everyone and is a great way to recognize the work of SCS's many talented CAS artists.
There are really only two "rules" here on the thread:
The Gallery posts you link to should be in the CAS style...
-------------------------------- And what does it mean to be Clean and Simple?
It's all about the design.
* Uncluttered
* lots of white or open space
* one main focal point --------------------------------
...and they should be from the past week.
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorite-ed this week.
If this is your first time being mentioned in this thread or you have a new blog we have blog badges found here in this post.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab. Type the cardmaker's SCS name, add a couple of spaces and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line.
5. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
6. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Thank you so much Debbie for choosing my Black Tie Thanks card as a CAS Favorite this week. I am just thrilled. And thank you Karen for the Happy Mail too! Helping a friend is always a wonderful thing to do so glad you were able to do that. Thanks again- this is most appreciated! ~Karen M.
Hi Debbie, thanks so much for liking that snow card of mine, I figured the leaking snow made it not very clean haha.. Karen, thanks for the happy mail too!
Thanks so much, Stacy and Susan, for including my card on both of your lists. I truly appreciate it. Thanks again, Karen, for letting me know. Your friend certainly appreciated your "dropping everything" to come to her aid. Hugs, Sallie
Thanks so much Stacy including my card in your CAS list! And thank you Karen for letting me know! Was fun to wake up to such encouragement this morning! Cristie
(Mayapple)
Many thanks, Susan, for choosing the chill thanks card. I’ve since layered gold over the white snowflake border... anyway, thanks, and thanks to Karen for notifying.
