CAS (Clean and Simple) Favorites for Week Ending 1/24/16
Wow -- cannot believe the end of January only a week away - where DOES the time go? Hope those of you on the East Coast were able to get some crafty time in on this massively snowy weekend. It's sooooo much more fun than shoveling (and shoveling and...) And, if you DID have to go out and clear the snow, I hope when you came in to warm up, you were able to relax with some Gallery gazing as there sure were some wonderful CAS creations added this week.
Here are some that I found...
Bold Speech Bubble Birthday card by Jacquie J I always love when I see a CAS card that isn't the normal mostly white background. Jacquie did a great job using dies and embossing folders to add lots of interest and texture while keeping the design CAS.
CAS360 - Snowy Valentine by T. Joy I like how Tricia used white embellishments to break up some of the white background without compromising the CAS design.
Pieced Together with Love by basement stamper I love how Vicki's gold scripty die works with the rest of her card. Not a combination I would have expected to "work" - and yet, seeing this card, I realized, it really works quite well!
WT567 Cold by Biggan Birgit's card just reminded me of the sheer enjoyment a child feels dancing and playing out in the snow.
Love Is You & Me by Bar I really like the addition of the purple on Barbara's card. Really steps it up a notch.
IC529 Love in Paris by artystamper I love how Julia flipped the more common "black on white, with a pop of red" to make her card "white on black with a pop of red."
So now it's YOUR TURN! What CAS creations caught YOUR eye this week?
Did you find your way to this thread because someone listed one of YOUR creations as a favorite? In addition to saying thank you, we encourage you to pay that smile you're probably wearing right now forward by sharing a few of the cards/projects YOU favorited this week.
Need help linking your Favorites? Follow these easy steps:
1. Load this week's Favorites thread in your first browser tab. Scroll down and click the Go Advanced button.
2. Open a second tab (or a separate window). Go to the Gallery and click on "My Favorites."
3. Click on a card you have saved. At the top, highlight the web address. Hit Ctrl+C to copy.
4. Switch back to the first tab and hit Ctrl+V to paste your link there. Hit Enter twice to add a blank line. Repeat as many times as needed for all your links.
5. Click the Preview Post button and check that your links work. Then click the Submit Reply button.
Thank you Debbie (swldebbie) for starting the CAS favorites thread. Thank you Karen for sending all the card love each and every week. We sure appreciate you volunteering your time to send out the notifications.

Big thanks to Kia and Brenda for picking my cards as CAS favorites.....this honor is special as I still struggle a bit with CAS cards.....I am getting better at it, but always nice to get encouragement when you are working out of your comfort zone....hugs to both of you
Thanks so much to Maura(beesmom) for mentioning my color challenge card as a CAS favorite this week. And Karen, I'm so impressed with your dedication to letting us know about these honors!
I had a HARD time narrowing down my favorites because this has been a FABULOUS week on SCS. Since I'm on vacation I had more time to browse the wonderful galleries. These are the ones I especially loved:
Many thanks, Audrie, for choosing 2 of my cards this past week - puts a smile on my face for sure!!!
And thanks to you, Karen for all your time in sending happy mail!
Thanks, Diane, for the mention! So appreciated! And your timing could not have been better - I've been in meeting after meeting pretty much all week - such a pick-me-up to find Karen's happy mail notification.
