I loved looking through the gallery for this challenge last year. I want to try and participate in 2011. I haven't participated in any challenges on SCS, and have only upload a very few things to my gallery. So I hope I can keep up.
DianeStampsandScraps...Welcome, I am so glad you have decided to join us. This is a monthly challenge, and not a weekly one, so hopefully that will help you keep up. It's a fun goal to have.
Here is my January Scripture. I previously used this design on a card, and liked it so much, I decided to showcase my January Scripture 6x6 Album Page using this same design.
I have counted up how many people have signed up for 2011, and we have 26! I am so excited that so many want to memorize Scripture and share their creations in order to bless others.
Wonderful! I subbed to this challenge thread. I keep a journal of verses that I come across in my devotions, some that friends and family have sent me or others that I see posted on various mbs. Now I get to take those verses and make something scrappy with them!
thanks for the challenge
Kathy
Here is my first card for 2011. I chose this verse as my verse of the year, so of course, it made sense to use it for my January card. I hope to stay on top of this challenge better than I did last year.
Ooooh-I wanna join too! I've always wanted to be in a group that I could use scriptures with my crafts. I'm so excited! I can't wait to get started! Thank you!

I was gone last week celebrating my birthday in a beautiful place by the ocean. There was no internet where we were, so that is why I have been out of touch. However, I have just caught up on the thread, and loved seeing the new January creations as well as seeing that more have joined our Challenge. We now have 31! Wow! It delights me so much that so many are so eager to memorize Scripture. and use their creativity to help them in doing so. Encouraging others in reading the Word is my passion and my ministry...so hosting this challenge is BLESSING to me. :-)
Welcome to onestampinmaniac and ndawes!
Welcome back to kmmsmom!
lbarnes, kmmsmom, DianeStampsandScraps. and BittyBadger: I loved looking at and commenting on your beautiful January Creations!
Please add me ~ I'd like to try; but I can't figure out how to load up pictures or cards to my name or to the gallery. Does someone have simple step-by-step instructions?
I'm usually pretty good about figuring things out; but I'm dumbfounded when it came to trying this.
Are they due by the end of the month? Can't wait to see the beautiful, God-given talents inspired here. God bless each of you.
My name is Mary ~ I live in Charleston, SC ~ I'm deaf ~ I love to scrapbook & make cards.
I will use my Abide card as my January memory verse- John 16:9. Since I have this week off I plan to make Valentines and a card for Benny.
Thanks for looking

Instructions for Uploading your creation to the Gallery
Hi Mary
I am so glad to hear that you decided to join us in our Bible Verse Challenge.
You can submit each month's creation anytime during that month, so January's can be submitted any time in the month of January. :-)
(1) To load a picture in the gallery...go to the very top right of this page where you see:
home | gallery | forums | resources | news | about
Click your mouse on GALLERY
(2) On the page that is brought up, look at the far left, the second box down the left side will say, AROUND THE SITE, and under that UPLOAD A CARD. Click your mouse on UPLOAD A CARD.
(3) On the page that comes up, just fill in the boxes:
(3a) Choose a category to upload your images to:
Pick a category that relates most to your image(s)
-If you use a certain SU Stamp Set, you can pick that Gallery in the pull-down menu, or you can just do nothing, and it will load it to your gallery.
(3b) Choose File:
-First you need to have already taken a digital picture of your card and have loaded it to your computer. You can put it on your Desktop, if you don't know where to put it. Name your picture.
-Then click your mouse on CHOOSE FILE. A Box will come up with a directory from your computer, you find your picture name in that box, and double-click on it.
(3c) Next you pick a default title for your card that will be the name of your entry in the Gallery. For this challenge, all titles should be in this format:
BVC11 - Month - Scripture verse
as in: BVC11 - January - Jer 29:11
(3d) Description:
-Write your description.
(4) Click on UPLOAD/SUBMIT at the bottom
(5) Then another page will come up for you to enter the details of how you made the card. It is always appreciated by other SCSer's if you take the time to fill in the details of the supplies you used.
-It is especially important to put BVC11 in your Keywords...this way your creation will show up in our BVC11 Gallery.
I hope this helps. BTW, Once you load a card, your own Gallery is automatically set up for you. Your card will go in your Gallery and the BVC11 Gallery.
Feel free to look at my Gallery to see an example of my description and how I fill in the details.
Blessings,
LM :-)

Would you be able to upload your card to the Gallery, instead of putting it as an attached Thumbnail? If you could do this, it will show up in our BVC11 Gallery, where we can all see it, and comment on it.
Instructions for uploading to the Gallery are in Post #77.
Thanks,
LM :-)

Oh my goodness, this is both very exciting and overwhelming at the same time! I would like to join in on this challenge as well. Having joined SplitCoastStampers about 5 minutes ago, I think the Lord is the best place to start! New friends, new challenges, and a new way of thinking each day! Thanks so much, -Marie
