I love using Scripture on my cards and projects to spread the Gospel through art! This challenge has been created to encourage you to use Scripture verses on your cards or other projects and share them with us.
You could try to memorize the verse that you use as you create, but that is not a requirement of the challenge.
I know that not everyone has a large collection of Scripture stamps, but there are many sources for free digital "stamps"- you can just copy and print verses from Bible Gateway (BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 150 versions and 50 languages.). This source is a fabulous way to search Scripture as well as key words, etc. Also, Word Art Wednesday offers a free digital verse every two weeks on their challenge site (Word Art Wednesday). You can copy and save their verses from their site or download from Bible Gateway (which you could re-format on your computer). So, the 2021 Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge guidelines are simple:
1. Please create a card and/or project with a Bible verse printed, stamped, hand-written or computer generated.
2. Upload a picture of your project to the Gallery and use the keywordBVC21in the keyword area so we can see your artwork when we search the gallery.
3. If you can, please copy the URL of your gallery upload and post to this thread so we can all check out your creation!
That's it! As I mentioned above, while the goal may be to post one project per month, you may post more than one and, if you are unable to post in a specific month, post the next month. We do not want anyone to feel pressured but would love to see you use more Scripture on your cards and projects.
If you have any questions at all, either comment in this thread or feel free to PM me.
Wonderful- so glad to see all of you here for the New Year! So thrilled that God's Word will be shared through our love of cardmaking :-) Hugs and praying that you have a blessed week!
Excited to join this year! I have a couple projects in mind. A mini album of verses for my daughter, a couple journals for my bible studies, and some framed verses as well.
Also, if anyone is interested in participating in another challenge with scripture I am doing one where each month a specific scripture and challenge is given by different people who are participating. Come join that fun also...
I love this idea! Is there a chart you follow or just select a scripture?

This card was made for the Crafters of Faith challenge linked above, and I was happy to use the scripture Lisa challenges us to use in a set I have not used in ages!
Hi Everyone! Lisa, you can use whatever Scripture on your cards that you desire.
It looks like the Crafters of Faith challenge has a specific Scripture for each month, but the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge started out originally to memorize a monthly Scripture, but now, we encourage you to use verses on your cards (and if you are able to memorize, that's wonderful).
So any card with a verse can be linked using the keyword BVC21 and if you are able, please add to this forum so we all know that you uploaded your card.
Hugs and I am looking forward to seeing your artwork in the BVC as well as the COF gallery!

I learned this song when I attended a funeral for a young 13-year old who drowned in the Gulf of Mexico when his family visited there before returning home. The 17-year old sibling sang this song. The parents sang It is Well with my Soul at the end of the funeral while standing at their son's casket. It was a very moving funeral and acknowledgement to their belief in God being in control.

I made a card for our young priest - he is special- very holy and really gives fabulous sermons! He has been such a shepherd to us in this pandemic! I am making him dinner tomorrow night : )
Shelly... I love that you have made your priest such a beautiful card. One is so blessed to have a priest/pastor in their life to shepherd them. I am blessed that way too! :-) LM

Hi Everyone! I created this card as a sympathy card- we have had quite a few losses in our church family in the last few weeks (mostly older members, not necessarily due to COVID).
Thank you for this challenge, which really excites me (and I just discovered). I am going to try to upload more than one scripture card to the gallery each month, and send them to friends as a way of encouragement.
Hi Everyone! I accidentally posted to last year's thread (thanks Faye), oops! Praying all of you are doing well. I have finally had a chance to load a few cards (I have many more to upload, just need to find the time, lol!):
Thanks again for all who are participating! My hubby and I are still very busy with remodeling and recently, I had to see a retina specialist for an eye issue (stable for the moment).
I am also working on a major genealogy project that is taking so much time (my father's mother's side is going back into the Middle Ages, and some lines, before- who knew?)! Of course, this is based on what is in geni.com, familysearch.org, wikipedia, free gravesite websites, etc. but it is interesting to read about the history. I have over 400 handwritten pages of "trees"- this will not fit in the standard family tree software, that's for sure :-)
Hugs and thanks again for encouraging me by playing along!
Happy 4th of July weekend, everyone!! Here is a card using one of my favorite verses and love the font on this Stamp Simply set F4A593_SC488 Catch of the Day
Hope all is well with all of you- I am still working on our major remodeling and have not had much time to create...it will be a while before we finish. Hugs!!
Praying that all is well and you are creating with Scripture! Here are two additional Autumn cards that I have uploaded recently (both using Stamp Simply sets, etc). SC179 Give Thanks and SC394 Give Thanks
Hi Ladies! I feel like I am so far behind on commenting and posting my cards! We are still working on our "weekend" home (painting, spackling, removing flooring, etc.) and my shoulders have been aching a bit (tough to type when I am finished, lol!), We are making headway though, and hopefully, will be done the major interior remodeling within the next year. In the meantime, I hand-delivered this card using Stamp Simply stamps, dies and paper (love the fonts on their stamps)! The verse is very appropriate, it was for a birthday card to the lady who has faithfully led our Monday eve Bible Study for over 25 years :-)
I used to make some cards for that challenge, in 2022 I would like to participate again with at least printing their scripture onto cardstock for future use!

It certainly looks interesting, Faye, but I don't have a blog to link to, nor do I want one, and I don't see them hosting a gallery space anywhere. Nice thought tho, especially since there's real money involved in entering and winning! Thanks for the tip!

You can use your gallery on SCS, you don't need a blog, I don't have a blog. I mostly use it for printing off the scripture to use on cards, every other week the scripture is different fonts and if you print it on your card it can go inside as well as on the outside. Personally I have multiple images on a piece so I can cut them out to adhere on the front of my cards.
