I actually had time to do an extra page to coordinate with the January progressive challenge: All the other girls
my daughter thinks I am going to scrap 300 photos. I am glad that she was so thrilled with her wedding that she wants every photo. I need to get her to pick out scrap worthy ones and then find something maybe more interesting than a photo album to hold all the rest.
Designer Digitals, and I am sure many other places have pocket pages, or templates with room for a lot, 12 or more pics per page that might work for the bulk of the photos and then they could be pages in a book after the special ones you make-then they would all be in the same place-
Are you going to print a bound book or pages?

I love designer digitals. I rarely scrap more than one photo on a page, once in a while maybe two. I have terrible vision and I want to see the actual photo. if she insists that every one be bound in a book, then I will use some sort of template, they certainly will not be as arty.
I use unibind photobook creator so I bind at home, just like a shutterfly book. i have an awesome printer but i am considering sending them out because it is so expensive to print at home. but often times after i print i think "oh, i would like that lightened up, or warmed up or cooled down" and when you send out, you get what you get.

That looks like a nice system! I usually order books through Photo book America when they have 1/2 price sales, I really like the 11 x11 size and the cost ends up being about 1.25-1.50 a page. I usually have books that range from 40-100 pages.

I just received some info about a scrapping site, what I saw was mostly digital but it could have been where I was looking. it's called Scrap Stacks its like pinterest for scrappers. you must join if you want to post, but you can view all you want. great ideas and a freebie section.
There is no community like we have at scs, but if you like pinterest and need another way to avoid cleaning your house check this out. it does my heart good to see all the digi scrapper out there and the talent, oh my.

I know this is an old post but I'm looking for some help. I used StampinUp's MDS on my laptop and all worked fine. Once I changed over to Mac, I wasn't able to print my cards properly. Border to Border won't work. So I went' to Pages for Mac. They upgraded it and I had the same problem. I went to the previous version. Now I'm looking at Adobe Elements 12. Does anyone know, before I put out the bucks, if digital paper can be used. I like making quick cards on the computer when I don't have time for my handmade ones. Any help appreciated.
do you mean can you use su digital items in elements? I have used element 6, 9 and 10 and all of the su digital things work just fine. I do not use mds and you use digital content that is not su? that's the great thing about elements is you can use whatever. I do use a pc and not a mac.

As far as I know, any digital element can be used in PSE--papers included. I use Windows. Most of the files I use are jpeg or png.
Before you switch, you might want to PM 3fries here on SCS. I think she uses a Mac and also uses MDS.
Oh, I'm sorry!! "3fries" is the user name of Terri, one of our digi-scrappers and hosts. PM stands for private message. You can send a PM by clicking "Welcome, Lynniedoll" at the top of your screen. On the screen that comes up, scroll down about halfway down on the left, click on "Private Message." Add "3fries" in the To line and send your message to her. She should get a notice that you sent her a message. Hope this helps!

a dear friend in a group we are in lost her 25 year old son. everyone in the group is giving me quote or bible verse or lyrics about hope. I am using my digital supplies to create a book. normally I print and bind at home, but ink is expensive but I think I have better quality control. but groupon has a shutterfly book coupon. but in looking at their site what do I pick if I want my layout to be the entire page and not use their layouts, supplies, etc.? and do they take long?

I think there's a place where you can customize because I did a book a few years ago and uploaded my own pages. I was very happy with the results and as I recall, I had my book in less than a week after uploading.
My favorite online store for 12x12 prints is having their semi-annual sale this weekend--MAY 3-5!
Get beautiful 12x12 prints for $1.50. You can order credits and use them anytime. I Love Persnickety Prints and always wait for their sales. Shipping for any number of prints is $5.00, so when I use my credits, I usually order a bunch at one time!
i went to the site to check out their books. all these sites are so confusing to me. what the heck is custom cover book - ship only? same description as custom cover. I found these confusing descriptions on other sites to. i did manage to get a book printed from mixed books. it was ok, not stellar. but then i am not sure what i was expecting.

I have only ordered one book and that was from Shutterfly and I loved it. I love Persnickety for individual 12x12 prints though. Many sites are confusing to me these days. I'm afraid when they're too confusing, they lose my business.
We need to keep this thread strong. I am so guilty of being too busy. Sometimes I make time to create on Saturday mornings. This is what I did this morning.

You're so right Lori. I haven't done any digi-scrapping in months, but grandbaby #2 will here in about two weeks, so I'm sure I'll be back at again very soon.

Ha! Ha! Why thank you Lori. Her daddy is actually my stepson. I'm 46 and my stepson is 28. I totally claim him as my son, though, because he's a great guy.
My son (from my first marriage) is 21 and is a great guy, too. My husband and I really did it right the second time around. LOL...

(I love picsart for my phone, the app is free) I miss this group. my husband is fishing and I should be doing household yuck, but here is my creative work for the day.
