HelloColorChallengeFans! Thanks to all who participated in our big 800th celebration last week. We had 162 cards submitted for the card event. The entries were all so wonderful and you made it very difficult for us to select winners.
I did mention that each hostess was offering a prize for her favorite card from last week. So without further ado, let's see who the faves were.
Chris' colors were seaside spray, night of navy and rich razzleberry. This beautiful card from Julie Gearinger caught her eye. Chris said: "While I loved all the details Julie brought to her card I was especially impressed with the texture she brought to the white space: the lace, the pearls and the pretty lace. They set the perfect backdrop to her beautiful roses that perfectly displayed the challenge colors". Julie:You will be receiving a package from Chris containing the Stampin'-Up 2020-2022 in-color makers, enamel dots and designer paper.
Barbara'scolors were terracotta tile, coastal cabana and granny apple green. This eclectic artwork piece from Kemernow was her fave. Barbara said: "Kandie used a blend of colors, textures and patterns to create a mini work of art. She used stencils to give the appearance of depth, and a page from an old book provides an interesting base for her plant designs. The card is finished with a perfect sentiment"! Kandie: You will be receiving a package from Barbara containing: Snow Much (SSS) and Bring Out the Sunshine (MFT) stamp sets plus two Distress Oxide ink pads squeezed lemonade and mermaid lagoon.
Karen's colors were poppy parade, old olive and pool party. This fancy fold card from knoxville 8625 was her fave. Karen said:"Give me a teacup, and a teapot, and I'm a happy girl!! How sweet is Chrysi's adorable tea set? What a layout too!! And in my favorite color combo!" Chrysi: You will be receiving from Karen a package containing the Stampin'-Up stamp & die bundle Birthday Jubilee.
Stef's colors were melon mambo, blushing bride and grapefruit grove. This just a note watercoloring from hobbydujour was her fave. Stef said: "Her watercoloring of the flower is just stunning and it stands out beautifully against the black background". Sallie: You will be receiving from Stef a $25 online gift certificate from the online retailer of your choice.
Jeanne's colors were pacific point, flirty flamingo and daffodil delight. This butterfly and blooms beauty from stampin'nana was her fave. Jeanne said:"All the elements in Roberta's card work together beautifully. The shimmer paper and the soft inked edges on her panel really make the colors shine. She made a truly spectacular card"! Roberta: You will be receiving from Jeanne the Honeybee Stamp & Die combo.
Mary's colors were highland heather, gorgeous grape and mint macaron. I chose this beauty from catluvr2 as my fave. Mary said:"I just love Priscilla's style of cardmaking. This one is so elegant with these regal colors". Priscilla:You will be receiving from me a Stampin'-Up Paper Pumpkin kit.
There were 15 stampers who made cards for all 6 challenges. To be eligible for the grand prize, you had to include the dessert option on all 6 cards. They were all such beautiful creations, and choosing a single finalist was difficult.
So what we decided to do was award a grand grand prize and then a grand prize.
Our grand grand prize winner is Jennifrann and our grand prize winner is lantana. You will each be receiving a selection of CottageCutz dies.
A big congrats to the winners and a big thanks to all who joined in with us to celebrate #800.
Winners: I will be in touch by way of PM to collect your addresses so we can get your prizes mailed out.
Looking forward to seeing all of you in the weekly color challenge.
