Can't wait to play. Today is Kid's Day at our house. I will be busy catering to my kids and doing they work! We celebrate once a year like Mother's Day. Cards and gifts included! Hopefully they will give me time to stamp today! LOL

I haven't stamped in almost a month due to our recent big move. My wonderful friend knew I needed some motivation and sent me this set and a package of the new in-color papers. I was so excited--you should've seen me jumping around. Anyway, I'm a little bit rusty after such a long break from stamping but here's mine:
Thank you so much for this challenge. I never would have used these colors, and I love the results. I now have very violet fingers, but it was fun! Here's my card:
I really like how this turned out. I lucked out and found a piece of non SU CS that matched the vintage violet. Then I realized that the veramagic chalk inks that my parents gave me for my bday had a color that matched well to the SU ink color!
In my description I mentioned how I wish I had fibers in this color and I just remembered my pre-order is being delivered today with all three of the stitched ribbons! I'm going to have to submit another entry once Mr.Brown arrives.

Colors are great. I love Sage Shadow but never really knew what to combine it with but this combo is beautiful. Here's my attempt at the challenge. I hope I get to try again later. It is also for the TLC77 challenge "No Layers"
I would love to have some violet, but alas I only had eggplant (didn't know plum was a better match) so here's my make shift CC submission;) Also combined it with the one layer tech challenge TLC77
Here's my card for today's CC. I didn't have Vintage Violet so I substituted Perfect Plum. I don't normally do cards that are darker so I'm kinda on the fence about this one. I like the layout but I would do it next time with at least one lighter color. TFL!
(pending as of 12:40 Arizona time-whatever that one is!) LOL!

I'm fairly new to stamping and have a quick question for you. I would love to participate in a few of the color challanges. Obviously I have to use the colors selected but my questions is.. do I have to use the selected colors in both the paper and ink, or can I use non SU paper but use SU's ink? Also can embellishments be used or is this stricly stamps and paper. Thank you for your help.
I'm trying to get back to doing the challenges. I've had the Vintage Violet but haven't done anything with it, so this challenge was made for me! So, here it is: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
