So I thought I'd post this since mamakimberly is out of town this week. I got this color combo from a card I just love that has been in my favorites for a long time....
One of my favorite color combos as well. Gorgeous cards everyone! I need to start participating in the challenges. Right after finishing my SAB, Leadership, Manager Reception and SCS dinner swaps. LOL I will start.
What a surprise to see my daughter's card as the inspiration for this week. She and I are very pleased. You artists have done beautifully on these cards. I can't wait to get back to some creating that doesn't involve food, presents or (gasp!) Christmas cards.
I am off to play a bit...first shower then play...for a few minutes then I have a customer coming.....so I may be able to upload later..... Cool Combo for sure!
 :( Boo Hoo!!! I want to play so bad but I don't have any Saffron yet. I guess I'll just have to look at all of you all's wonderful cards. I love the colors. Great Combo Emily!

how about substituting barely banana for saffron? I always have a hard time telling them apart, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too much of a stretch!
Thanks for this great challenge - wish I was home and could get my hands on my supplies right now!!
Oh! What pretty colors you have choosen for this challenge!! I can't wait to play, but I have camera problems and will be back shortly!! Maybe I can combine a few of the challenges as time goes by, ho hum!!

Faux Tearing is when you tear a peice of paper (usually scrap) and place it over your project. Using an inked sponge, ink over the edge of the torn paper so that you're dragging ink from the scrap ONTO your project. This will create a hard edge of ink where the torn scrap was placed.
It gives the appearance of multiple layers of paper -- when it's really just ink.
Those are great Emily! You're just runnin' with this challenge, aren't you!! It's so fun!
Well, I'm off to a job interview...wish me luck girls! (I was laid off almost 3 weeks ago from the company I worked for for almost 9 years -- but, it was just in time to get all my holiday stampin' projects done! What better timing...) Wink Wink! ;)
hmm... now that I think about it, anyone know of someone looking to pay a gal to stamp!? I'm available...;)
This was a hard combination for me. I love all the cards that have been made for this challenge but when I got down to doing mine....it didn't work so well for me. I enjoyed the challenge though Emily. It is always good to stretch.
First time I have tried a Color Combo challenge because I don't have many SU inks. But today I loved all your cards so much that I just had to take a guess on which stuff from my stash might match. My Art Deco Lady should be viewable sometime soon. Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
Picture approval completed!
okay, you gotta explain the faux tearing technique!!!
Hi Emily!
What you do is tear a piece of printer paper and lay it on your cardstock wherever you want the faux tear to be. Brayer the part of cardstock that is still showing. Voila! You've got a "faux tear." The January SS does a much better job than I have -- take a look at it! It will definitely inspire you to try
Happy Stampin'!
Billie
