Carolina, You picked a great combo here. Course, I adore baja breeze and am so sad to see it leaving us. I could probably put it with any color!! Here's my card: Save the gas by lazylizard at Splitcoaststampers

I got my card done a long time ago, but due to technical difficulties just now got to upload it. lol What a morning!
I have really taken to Ruby Red lately. It's becoming a favorite, but I'm not sure I would have thought to pair it with Baja Breeze. It's a very nice combo. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
I forced myself to participate in the color challenge today, my first one, to try to take my mind off the fact that my little dog is in the hospital, but it didn't work. Nothing went as I hoped it would with this card:
My original intent was to color the sentiments in different colors on the unmounted "All About Christmas" wheel from SU, but without a Baja Spot or marker, this was difficult (at least we won't have to worry about that with the upcoming in-colors, right?). I chucked that idea and opted for embossing with clear EP instead. I liked how that turned out and I thought I would add the "joy" stamped in ruby red popped up but after six tries and wasting what felt like tons of cardstock I chucked that idea too. I tried a 5/8" grosgrain ribbon first, but then you could barely see the red cardstock, so I took that off and replaced it with a 3/8" grosgrain ribbon, which I liked a little better. If I had to do the card over again I would have left more white and used a border punch instead of the ribbon.
This challenge taught me that I really have difficulty restricting myself to just a few colors. I also learned that I have difficulty being creative when I am depressed. Stamping has always been such a happy thing for me, when I am not happy, I don't feel like stamping. A lot of people have described stamping as therapy, guess that isn't the case for me.
Positive thoughts about the card:
1) I have another card finished for my June CCC09 challenge
2) this is a 'USPS friendly' card since it doesn't have too many embellishments
Thank you for looking at my card. I know a lot of people have bigger problems to contend with, but if anyone has a moment to saya quick prayer or send happy thoughts our little dog's way, I would be most grateful. Hopefully he will be coming home tomorrow and on the road to recovery and my stamping mojo will return.
here's my take on the colors. I subbed riding hood red for the ruby red (need to widdle away at my stock!). I also got to ink up my June Unity KOTM! TFL! with a cherry on top
