I'd been wanting to make a card like this for a while. I had seen this type of perspective done somewhere but couldn't recall where, and didn't have a reference to use, so I just went with it. I might have over done it, but i like how it turned out for a first try. I hope this is ok for your challenge. Its definitely an unusual one for me. SILENT NIGHT

When I first saw this awesome challenge posted, I thought I would be using it for another card. Instead, I've saved it to make our anniversary card this year. Though we didn't really have a theme at our wedding, we did use a lot of pinecones and birch bark in our decorations, so I decided to use the "momma" of the pine cone, a pine tree, in our card this year! Thank you so much for another awesome challenge! Here is my card...
Here is my tree. Its different for me because I normally would have added more stuff, like jewels or something. Kept it simple and just one layer card with just stamping and embossing powder Shining tree by Tapdancer at Splitcoaststampers
I am playing my "Challenge Catch-up" cardmaking and catching up on my SCS postings.
Challenge: show a Christmas tree that is unusual for you to make. I'd call this an abstract Christmas tree...totally unusual for me! Traditional trees and traditional colors are more my style...better even with a vintage style!
This was a card finished in late September and posted to my blog but missed getting posted to SCS! Here is my card: An Abstract Whimsy Christmas!
