Does this have to be ALL SU products? so far I only have stamps so not sure I can participate.
NO, you can use any products you want.........this challenge is for yourself, designed so that you will have enough cards to send out for next Christmas. Whatever you want to use is just fine!

I'd like to join this year! I'm a first-timer, and after having to do about 30 cards within a period of about a week this year, I decided I need to take part in this challenge! I'm looking forward to it!
Hey dear I already have loaded my cards into them. I am going to work on the next batch of 10 for June on Friday. Going to go help a friend put on one heck of a New Year's Day party tomorrow. Trying to catch up on emails and my card swap group and going to a game night at church tonight,
After spending 3 days cleaning out my stamp room and finding all sorts of paper/embellishments and most importantly adhesives - I am going to join this challenge. I didn't even send out Christmas cards this year and thought it was really really wrong to send out boxed cards (gasp), so next year people will be surprised My resolution right now in writing is - this is the year I get my Christmas cards done! - Oh and not buying any more embellishments and paper till at least 1/2 of what I have is gone. LOL
The 50 cards I have made so far are all from my stash. I have a whole scrap store in my craft room my dear hubby says. In the past I have bought lots of stamps set with good intention and then at the last minutes I do not make that set up as it takes time. I decided this year I was going to get started early, use every set I have at least once, and not buy anything new for a while. Yesterday I went shopping and only bought 3 sheets of paper, and quite a bit of adhesives. Doing good so far. With the help of this challenge I am alsmost half way there.
This has been so much fun and so glad someone has the time to keep this challenge going all year.
Ok, while Christmas cards are the last type of card I was thinking of making right now, this challenge is just too great an idea to pass up! Count me in - although I will only be making 5 a month.

No, you can use any kind of stamp, embellishments and paper, that you want...the challenge is to have all of your holiday cards made BEFORE the end of November...let me know if you'd like to join!
Checking in. I've not started my Jan. cards. Hopefully tomorrow. I've done a wedding card and a sympathy card amongst trying to get my office work in order for the new year.
My mother always said whatever you are doing on New Years Day, that's what you'll be doing the whole year. Well... I intend to spend at least a portion of it creating and uploading to my blog and gallery :-)

My grandmother always said that, too! And because of her we always have to burn a bayberry candle on New Year's Eve (brings good luck) AND put money in the window (means you'll have money all year long!)!
I would like to join, I was going to do this on my own so next year I am not the crazy card lady in December. It will be fun to have others to share ideas with. PS I only need to make 4 cards a month.

Oooo I like those! I'll have to remember those for next year. I knew about the candle but have had a heck of a time finding a bayberry candle. I remember when that use to be THE candle for Christmas. Now all I can find is cranberry and cinnamon I may have to try that candle store. Where did you get yours Mary?

Question..... I plan to make 10 of the same design each month because it is easier for me to mass produce one design than to come up with 10 different designs. Is that ok - or do we have to do several different designs?

Kelly, I get my bayberry candles at Yankee Candle. I get the votive size...or if you want to splurge for a big one you could use it for many years. I like bayberry. It's a nice clean fragrance...

You can make them all the same or every card different. It's up to you...
I love this challenge, did it last year, but didn't get all my pics posted, at least I had the cards done!!! Hopefully with new scanner I will be better at posting pics. Happy new year all.

I think I may try and do this, for the past two years I have been wanting to make my cards for Christmas and I always leave it for the last minute. What a great idea this is.

I've added you to my list so there's no backing out now! ;)
I've been an admirer of the Splitcoast Stampers community for a long time. I've never uploaded any of my cards before but this sounds like fun so count me in too. Thanks!

I just had a thought - I'm going to purchase stamps for each month's cards as I make them so when I get ready to send them out it doesn't take a big chunk out of my budget all at once.
Hmmm - maybe I should address the envelopes as well so I'm all ready to mail them too???? Oh my goodness! I don't think I've ever been THAT organized ;)

that's what I am going to do to, that way no excuses and I can just slip a current photo in and a little note in November/early December
I guess my only concern is if someone moves, but I guess I could just put a new address label on top of it

I found the 2008 thread at the end of November and was disappointed to find it so late. I'm so happy that you started a new year and I found the thread in the beginning. Please sign me up. I'll need to pre-do my March and April cards as I'm expecting my first baby March 27. Please PM me with your address as I'm hoping to be able to send some goodies your way.
Also can someone let me know what STS entails or where I can find a thread about it?
Thanks Vicky
