I 'dicovered' the 2008 Christmas Card Challenge last year in May and kinda played along on my own (too scared/lazy/computer inept to join in.) However I would love to join in for real this year. I have already made 10 cards and will post if you give me the OK to join (or at least I'll post when my DH is around to help.) Thanks for this great challenge.

hey Michelle - glad to see you joining us again this year. Is Lafayette still a little town? I remember when it wasn't much more than a pin dot on the map - 'course neither was I then.

I do the three meals and three snacks most days, everything gets recorded so I know where I stand with my calories and fruit/veggie intake. We eat a lot of fish, chicken and turkey and salads. There are so many good things to eat once you really start looking and paying attention to what is in your food. Our favorite place to eat lunch out has become SubWay. Their roasted chicken breast sandwitch is one of the foods that fit well on our diet plan.
You're going to do AWESOME, Janet. Good Luck!

I moved here to Colorado from the UK just over 10 years ago, not sure when you were here but I think Lafayette is a bit more than a "pin dot" now, we've seen it grow quite a lot. By comparism to the small town I grew up in in the UK, Lafayette is quite the 'metropolis'. ;)
Thank you for the welcome. I'm really looking forward to joining in.

Let's just say 'it's been awhile'. LOL I'm hoping to get back to CO this fall. My husband has never seen where I grew up and I want him to see the Aspens. There isn't a more beautiful tree in the fall in my estimation. But being a CO native, I could be biased. ;-)
Can't wait to see your cards!

Yes, I want to join the group and create and play along with my dear friend Michelle (michellepeter) and all you wonderful folks at SCS. This is my year to be prepared for the holidays!! I’m tired of being stress during the holidays because I haven’t started or finished my cards. I do have a question regarding the cards. I normally make the same card to send out to everyone on my Christmas list. Therefore, I’ll be uploading the same card every month. Is this ok to have several of the same cards in my gallery? Or do I just complete the amount I need for the month and report it to the group?

Madeline- welcome! It's okay if you only make one design for everyone...just make your January cards and post a picture of it to you gallery...then each month, post in the appropriate month's thread that you've finished your monthly cards and I'll check you off my list as you complete each month. You don't need to upload the same card each month- only upload a picture if you change your design for some reason. Clear as mud?
Mary, thank you for answering my questions regarding posting the same Christmas card. I’m excited about joining this challenge and eliminating some stress during the holiday season. Michelle (michellepeter) and I are going to try and get together once a month to work on our cards and we’re hoping our other dear friend (Jeannie) will join us!
I'd love to join in on this! I've been doing swaps lately, but I like the idea of working on my own time table, and if for some reason I can't do it for that month, I'm getting angry hostesses! ;)

Going to get started tonight for Jan's cards
Welcome! You won't find any angry hostesses here! If you can't go one month- no big deal, you just catch up at a later date!! I can't wait to see your creations!!
I am so doing this! my only issue is I love to wait to see what the C'mas stamps are in the Fall/Winter catty...but I am going to get a head start this year!!! Thanks for a great challenge!

Sign me up! This past year I thought I was done, and then a friend asked me to make hers....and wanted 48. In November. So of course I made her 50! But boy wouldn't it be nice to just have them all ready to go this year with no stress? I will shoot for the 10 each month.

I'd like to join this. It sounds like fun. This is my first attempt to acutally use this web site to post and upload (at a later date). I'm not to technically inclined. So I hope this works. I just come back when I've completed my cards and upload them?

Welcome! Yes, that's right- just post a message to the appropriate month thread to let me know you've completed that month's cards and I'll mark you off as done for that month. Easy as pie!
What a great idea to make gift tags! That has inspired me to make bookmarkers as little gifts to tuck in the cards too. That should use up a lot of scraps this year!
I finished my January cards! Wow, this feels great to get a start on this year's Christmas cards. I'm excited to think I may even begin to actually try many of the embellies and stamp sets I've picked up through the years that I "just had to have". Here's my January card.

Mary, congrats on getting your January cards finished already!! I've checked you off my list!
Ladies, please make sure that when you post you cards that the monthly thread that you are posting to is for CCC09 and NOT CCC08. If you post to the incorrect thread, I may not see your cards and you won't be marked off. I have January through May threads open. I will open June through November soon.
I have not had a chance to start my cards yet for jan but promise to get caught up we are just in the middle of a move and once everything is unpacked and found I can finally start
