Oh.. All the lovely Cards, I do love this challenge, it is so nice to see all of the beautiful creations! I made five of these cards and this completes my July cards. I am on vacation this week so I plan to try to get several more done and that will put me ahead!

And one for good luck??? I wanted to post another card for July, even though I have met my quote.

Vicki I wonder if I should officially up my commitment with this challenge, I am having so much fun! I have made this card before but I was so pleased with it I thought I would make another, changing the color slightly. Here's my card:

CCC11 Xmas Card Challenge-July 2011 by sodell - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
I still don't know if I am doing this correctly, but anyway here is a link to one of the photos of my July Xmas cards. The other photos in my gallery for July show a closeup of the 2 types of "lady" cards, and then a photo of the inside verse (one of my favorite: Cookies, candy, drinks galore, I'll probably gain 10 pounts or more).
I am still a beginner with the Copics, especially with the hair!!! I did not do much shading and blending, other than the skin and hair (attempted).

Have a great day everyone!

Sketchy Old and New

Celebrate Christmas

Masked Christmas

Faux Silk Christmas

Simple Christmas
- still trying to get a photo I like of this one!

This is my fifth card for July. They're coming in slowly this month. One more to go and July will be done. This one was a freebie if anyone would like to go get it.

I will be heading to Ft. Bliss on the last leg of our journey on Tuesday.. our household goods won't be delivered until the 26th. I am not sure that I will be able to make any cards for July. Once I get settled, I can make up for that in August and be back on track for the rest of the year.

I am so missing stamping ~ I regret not packing a case with some stamping stuff in it with me instead of packing up everything. I have bought lots of stuff while on leave, so I'll have lots of new toys to play with once I get my stuff.

I enjoy looking at all the wonderful cards you all have made.. I was surfing with my phone while in the U.P. of Michigan.

blessings ~ Pam

I haven't had a chance to go through the July gallery yet - but I will get to seeing what each of you have created before the end of the month.
I finished my cards - they are CAS, and look better in real life. :-)

They are nice Karen. I absolutely agree that some people just do not appreciate the work that goes into a handmade card. I hate feeling like I am wasting a card I have put a lot of time and effort into if I send it to those people. I am using up a bunch of stickers this year making cards for just that reason.

Thanks Angie! I figure this way we both win. I get to send them something I've made (because I don't use store bought cards) yet if they look at it then toss it, they won't feel even a tad guilty.

I love cards, so wasn't aware there were people out there who could care less. I was visiting a neighbor when she got her mail delivery. She opened a birthday card that was mailed to her, barely looked at the outside, read the inside, smiled, then put the card with the envelope and other junk mail into recycling. I almost fell off my stool!

Have fun with your sticker Christmas cards!

Oh goodness am I caught up?

No power issues? No internet outage?

I have a few ppl on my list that couldn't care less if the card was a blank piece of CS that I signed.
Then there are ppl who call me as soon as they get it to talk about it and thank me.

Or if I do a weird fold or technique and I get asked... why did you do that? Or how does it work?
Easel cards and pop ups are the worst! LOL

its weird there are not ppl not like us! LOL

Finally got my cards done for July. The coloring took forever. Glad I only had to make 5 of these. This was my first attempt at an easel card and without Beate's tutorial in the resource section, I probably would still be trying to figure it out. Once the coloring was done and I knew how to do the easel, they went together pretty fast.

I am so frustrated. I can't seem to put my idea together. I just can't seem to get the right background paper or the right colors. Do you think it could be from the little run-in I had with a neighbor this morning? The dogs were really riled up and when I went to see what the problem was, this guy who lives up the street from us (I don't even know his name and I've lived here for 9 years) was screaming at the guy who is working on a house on the corner because his dog started barking at him. Rex is never on a leash but very seldom does he bark at anyone who walks by unless they antagonize him. That's what got my dogs riled up. Of course, I just had to tell him to leave the dogs alone and they won't bother him. It turns out that when he walked past Rex he acted like he was going to throw something at him and that got Rex going which got my dogs going. Then the guy starts in on me about our dogs barking all the time. I'm not saying my dogs don't bark, especially Lexi who is only 6 months old. She barks to get Timber to play with her. Timber hardly barks at all unless someone is walking another dog by our house and he doesn't like trucks. We actually caught this guy crossing to our side of the street just to do something to our dogs. He threatened to call the cops and I told him I would be happy to do it for him because I think they might be interested in how he goes around the neighborhood getting everone's dogs riled up. I hate listening to barking dogs all the time, too. We're working with Lexi with her barking. When we got Timber it was a couple months before I even heard him bark. One of the reasons we chose him was because he was the only one out 50+ dogs not barking at us. Sorry for the rant. Now it's time to see what I can do with my design. I know I have something around here to make it come together. I just have to find the right combination.

Oh Debbie I FEEL for you. Makes you want to throw something at that man -- what a complete jerk. Our little Jasper (Sheltie) barks at the other two to get them to play too ... and I wish he would just quiet down after they ignore the first couple of times. So we step in, tell him QUIET and he usually does. I don't know what I'd do if I had a neighbor behaving the way that fellow is behaving towards the neighborhood dogs. Haha, I'm riled up just thinking about him!

Hope your design comes together - but if not today, it will when you are in a happier mood. Take care!

So sorry Debbie. Don't worry about venting here. It's the place to do it. Some people are just not very kind to animals and take pleasure in riling them up and people too. Sorry you had to deal with the jerk. Mostly out neighborhood is quiet and dogs are not allowed out without a leash. The dog next door to me barks at me when I go out to feed my kitties, but he quiets down after a bit. I certainly don't throw a fit about it. That's just what dogs do.

I have half a notion to follow him with a camera next time I see him out walking. I wonder how hard he'd complain with proof of him teasing the dogs. At one point this morning he told me he could have my dogs put down because of their barking. I'd like to see him try. This is not getting a card done. However, I had to rethink my original design. I just have to put it together now. I just might have something to upload by tomorrow.

I got absolutely nothing else done around here, but I did get my cards made. It is mostly what I had envisioned thanks to digi papers. I knew what I wanted for the background but didn't have the right paper. I found it in Bearly Mine Designs digi store. Now I just have to wait until tomorrow to upload it to my gallery. I probably spent at least 8 hours just trying to get the design close to what was in my head. I should have looked for the background paper online when I first started early this morning. I would have been finished before noon. Once I got the logistics figured out, it took about 20 min. to put 5 cards together. I was just too stubborn to go with a different plan. Thanks for putting up with me today.
