This month we are featuring Love Letters, Random Cards of Kindness, an oganization dedicated to collecting and distributing hand made cards to girls and boys from the ages of birth to 18 years old. Taken from their website the following is their Mission Statement. Through the collection of handmade cards, they accomplish the following, taken from their website:
Love Letters cards are always bright, cheerful, and positive. We create cards for girls and boys from the ages of birth to 18 years old. These cards are unique because they are created by hand using stamps, stickers, scrapbook paper and art supplies. Inside each card a positive inspirational message is written to given children faith, courage and the will to survive. These cards are the magical ticket for our Love Letters Angels who are going through the difficult times of treatments and surgeries. One mother shared with us, Your Love Letters Pen Pal card put a smile on my daughters face which I havent seen for a very long time. Bringing smiles to childrens faces and laughter to their hearts is our mission.
Sick Kids Need More than Medicine, they need Love and Support from "Love Letters Pen Pals."
You may visit the website here to see the types of cards they are suggesting. Any card with an upbeat, cheerful, sentiment would be welcomed. Cards must be blank inside.
SPECIAL RESTRICTIONS:
NO GET WELL cards, no glitter (glitter pen okay, not sure about Stickles), and no religious or political sentiments. Please see more quidelines here. I have also attached the guidelines to this thread.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Please include an envelope with each card for purposes of convenience. Since these cards will be given to others, they should be blank inside.

I don't really do kids cards, but I'd be happy to send envelopes for your cards. Let me know how many, if you need sizes other than A2, and if you need anything other than white.
Another wonderful cause; thanks Cindy! Count me in!!

Yes, A2 are the standard 4.25 x 5.5 size. I had thought if Linda sent cards without envies to Love Letters I could send the envelopes directly there, rather than mailing them twice, but do you think they would prefer us to send them to her so the cards and envies come together? I'm ok with whatever works best.
Hello cindy, I will pm you. with the count of the cards. Thanks hotwheels.

I added some instructions in the restriction area in the original post as well as a link to a pdf. I am on my laptop right now and noticed that the pdf is not pulling up. I will fix that in the morning when I get on our other computer but just wanted to make you aware of some restrictions for cards that Plain Jane, a fellow SCSer, found on their website. Thank you Jane!!!
Jane and Cindy, I had been to the website (briefly) but missed this. Thanks for bringing this important info to us!

OMG! Awesome! I love coming here and seeing that 4 people have mailed cards! I had the pleasure of speaking to Kaitlyn personally on the phone the other day and she is so tickled to be getting cards through a result of this month's challenge!
Thank YOU all! So cool!
Zella...I love that you can't remember stuff! Snort! Makes me feel better about my own non-existant memory! Ha!
haven't had much time to get crafty, so I did the next best thing...I went thur my stash of cards and pulled 60 cards and envies to mail out, but a found a cute stamp, a pack of emblishments and a stack of embossed card stock.
You ladies are amazing! 25 cards, 15 cards, 60 cards!!! Wow. I have eight ready to be mailed on Monday. I don't usually make cards for children so this was fun for me to do something different.
Thanks Cindy for hosting this thread and thanks Kristyn for finding this month's cause.
Whoa baby! You guys are rocking this month! No matter if 1, 3, 15, 25, or 60 are mailed by one person, can you imagine the number cards that will be received collectively? That, is truly amazing and wonderful! You are all the bestest! Whoot!
a dozen cards will go postal tomorrow a.m. (thursday). thanks for doing this. it is for such a good cause. it is people like you that make the world just a little bit better each day.
Mahalo (thank you)
